My name is Michelle and I am proud to say that I have completed over 100 reservations since joining Meowtel in December 2023.
I have adored cats for as long as I can remember and look forward to taking care of your babies!
Currently I have two furbabies from the Cleveland APL: Frida (a fourteen year old Shorthair Tortoiseshell, adopted in 2012) and Andri (an eleven year old Siamese Mix, adopted in 2014).
Let’s be honest, I love everything about cats. It is hard to choose just a few, but some of my favorite things are their different coat patterns and colorations, and each one’s unique personality. I love making friends with new cats, but am also respectful of their personal space and boundaries. In fact, I am very in tune with cat body language!

Since I believe that all cats deserve quality care and a great life, I dabble in rescue work when I can. I organized a TNR (trap neuter return) group for the stray/feral cats that live near my parent’s house. I also rescued a baby kitten in October 2022. I kept him warm and fed until I was able to find a full time foster mama for him.
Additionally, I have experience with administering a variety of medications such as:
• Oral syringes
• Topical ointments for the skin and face
• Eye drops
• Mixing medicine into food
• Inhalers
Just as I care about your kitty’s health and well being, your safety is important to me too. I continue to get flu and Covid vaccines, and you will often see me wearing a mask.
I serve Northeast Ohio areas including (but not limited to) Parma, Strongsville, Brecksville, Independence, Beachwood, Shaker Heights, Solon, Macedonia, Cuyahoga Falls, Stow, and Hudson. When I’m not cat sitting I work as an Instacart shopper, and thus have no major restrictions on my schedule. I am happy to work out something that can accommodate you!
I would love to meet you and your cat(s) so I can show you just how passionate I am! My goal is to provide the same quality care that you give your kitties, so that nothing changes while you are away. (You’ll get thorough updates and lots of photos). I am eager to learn more about your babies so that I may do so!

Aside from meeting all sorts of kitties and getting to spend time with them. I enjoy bringing families the peace of mind that their furbabies are in good hands and well cared for while they are away.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two cats, Andri and Frida. They are both from the Cleveland APL. Frida, a tortoiseshell, was adopted in 2012, and Andri, a Siamese mix, was adopted in 2014!
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I’ll answer any initial questions they have through messages on Meowtel. Once the reservation is accepted and we schedule a meet and greet, I come over to learn more about the kitties and how to care for them. I have a notebook with a section for each client and a thorough list of questions about things such as feeding, litter boxes, favorite toys, hiding spots, etc.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! Most of my family lives in the Northeast Ohio area, and we don’t tend to travel during the holidays.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I let timid and anxious kitties have their space, as to not feel overwhelmed. I talk to them in a soft, quiet tone, and let them come to me. If they seem curious I will slowly extend a hand for them to sniff, but if this makes them anxious or scared then I will pull my hand back to give them their space. I might also play with them using their favorite toy as a way to try and bond.

Michelle was great! We had a lot going on with three cats, one of which was in a cone and required eye drops due to a recent surgery. She was able to accommodate all their needs, and communicated if there were any questions while she was there. She sent detailed updates at the end of her visits accompanied by pictures so we knew our babies were getting everything needed plus some.

Michelle’s cat care for my two kitties was nothing short of spectacular! This was my first time using her services and this app. The app was very easy to use, and Michelle responded to my request for her availability almost immediately to quickly set up a meet and greet. She took extra time to understand the needs of both cats. One is a senior cat, requiring liquid medicine twice daily and special food, and the other is a young, sometimes shy but energetic kitty. She managed every aspect of the older cat’s more complicated needs and even found an easier way to give her meds! She took time to gain the trust of the younger cat, spending time playing with her. Shortly into her 6-day care visits, they were greeting her at the door and very happy with her. Michelle gave regular updates for each visit with pictures and texts, and even insisted on vacuuming up near their litter boxes. She also let me know my refrigerator had turned off on her last visit, we were able to get it going again!! She made my vacation stress-free and I’m sure my cats will miss her. I highly recommend Michelle and would use her services again and again! She’s extremely professional, clearly loves working with cats and gives your pets extra TLC as if they were her pets!

Our cats are already missing her, which says so much about the connection she built with them. Michelle is great! We have two kitties who were feral when we took them in three years ago. Little Josie is starting to come around and is very curious of Michelle. She took the time to reach out to her and let her know that she was a friend. Molly just stays in the basement. That is her comfort zone. Our old guy Bear will be 18 on Monday and I truly feel like he looks forward to her visits. We are moving in the next couple months and I hope that I can find another Pet Sitter who my kitties will feel comfortable and safe with thank you Michelle!!!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Cleveland cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Michelle was SPECTACULAR in every way. I have not been able to travel in a long time because I have 3 kitties…one of them needs an insulin shot every 12 hours, the middle one has major orange cat energy and my little one is just a baby! (Plus I’ll admit I have separation anxiety) But Michelle has completely changed all that! She was excellent at giving the shots on time, playing with my high energy kids, feeding them, cleaning the boxes, and most importantly providing updates and pictures so I didn’t worry one bit! Considering we have 5 cats, we were nervous that we might not find a pet sitter while we went out of town. Our biggest concern was our senior cat who requires medicine twice daily. Thankfully Michelle is prompt, professional and easy to talk to about our pets needs. She is compassionate, thorough and made a point to keep us updated. She is knowledgeable and observant-especially with regard to cat behavior, health and well-being. Michelle is also patient and flexible giving our senior cat his pills as he can sometimes be quite difficult. We really appreciate how reliable, trustworthy and understanding she is. We never realized how many quirks our cats have, but Michelle gave each one special attention while still being efficient. We have 4 cats. 1 friendly and 3 shy. She was able to get two of the shy ones out of hiding and the little bit of interaction they were comfortable with. She let the other shy one stay in her hidey-holes. The friendly one got lots of play time and attention. Daily updates were detailed and had multiple pictures of our kitties. She even brought extra litter waste bags from home when she noticed we were running low. Would highly recommend as a safe person in your home. My wife and I were very happy with her care of our kitties.

Just recently my cat developed some serious health issues that require medication, one including a shot of insulin. When I asked Michelle if she would be willing and able to administer the meds, she didn't hesitate to agree to help. I've been having Michelle take care of my cat for going on a year now. She is irreplaceable and my cat Motown and I are so very lucky to have her available to us. I am beyond thrilled with the care, attention, and the above and beyond efforts that Michelle has shown to me from the very first visit.
