Cat Sitting in Cleveland, OH

Hello! My name is Amanda, and I'd love to meet you and your cats!!

I work nightshift at the Cleveland Clinic, so my hours can be a bit wonky (breakdown of my availability will be posted in another section).

As for my personality, I enjoy gardening, reading, cooking vegan food, and hiking. Growing up, I had a horse, a dog, and cat. I gained responsibility and awareness surrounding animals from a young age, I was always trying to win the affection of the (mostly feral) barn cats...

I gained responsibility and awareness surrounding animals from a young age, I was always trying to win the affection of the (mostly feral) barn cats.

I have 2 kitties of my own, one was a stray that we took in, and the other is a rescue that we helped survive FIP! He also now has asthma and requires a daily inhaler. Throughout his FIP treatment, I got very comfortable administering pills, liquid oral meds, and inhalers. I was also shown by my vet how to give subcutaneous fluids, but I actually didn't have to use it on my kitty.

During a cat sitting visit, I would scoop out litter boxes, feed & refresh water, medicate if needed, as well as play and spend time with the cat(s). I know my boys like having company, so it would be important to me to give the cat(s) entertainment and a bit of companionship during the visit.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes!! I have Denny and Mo 💕 Mo is a grey tabby and my cranky boy. He was a stray that we took in. After trying to find any owners, we found the he was not microchipped or fixed. Momo and I lived together in my little studio apartment. He wants affection on his own terms, and he can get quite anxious when left home alone. Mo has a special place in my heart and it's so meaningful when he wants to be near me. Denny is a rescue from a Medina shelter and he is an orange tabby with three white "twinkie" spots on his belly. We discovered he had FIP and we fought tooth and nail to get him through it. My FIP warrior is a cuddle bug and his asthma doesn't stop him from being a menace. He loves to play with Mo and have his belly rubbed

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Ask questions! Browse different sitters! Don't settle for someone you're unsure about. It's important that the cat parent and sitter are on the same page about expected responsibilities and care for your cats.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes! I am open to working holidays and the days surrounding them. I am usually off for my full-time job during those days, and would love to use that time to cat sit (:

I highly recommend Amanda. she helped me out when I was on vacation and my co-worker canceled on me to take care of my cat Colton. She was very professional and kept in touch with me at all times. I will be using her in the future.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Cleveland cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
