Cats aren’t pets, they’re our children and knowing that they are safe and happy is every parents biggest concern. With me, your cat is unconditionally loved and thoroughly cared for.
My baby Bella passed away last year at 14 years old and the heartbreak has followed ever since. My passion and love for cats has never changed but my lifestyle has changed significantly. Since her passing I have been on travel mode, so until I settle down after school I can’t say I’m ready to have another cat of my own... Hi there!

While you’re away for business or pleasure, I get the gift of loving your purrfect baby! I have experience cat-sitting kittens, older cats, and cats with special needs.
One of my most recent foster cats (Zena) was born completely deaf and had asthma. I fostered her for 2 months, adhering to a strict schedule and making sure she took her asthma medication everyday. I know the struggle of giving medicine to an unwilling cat, but with lots of love, encouragement and patience (and treats) your baby will have all their needs fulfilled!
Show me where the scooper is! Because a clean litter box is a non-negotiable! I will clean your cats litter box DAILY and having clean and fresh water is a necessity! I will follow all instructions including feeding times and portions, any specific play time activities, and any medical requirements.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
Although I am new to this platform, I have been cat sitting for over 4 years. I typically do cat sitting while house sitting so I usually get to interact with cats in their own home, but I have had cat sitting and fostering experience in home for longer periods of time.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Cats are curious creatures! For that, doors to the outside are NEVER left open (unless told otherwise). While I’m coming and going, I check to make sure appliances are turned off or unplugged if not in use and I always keep the owner updated with photos of their furbaby and home at their request.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I wouldn’t like it if I was feeling shy or anxious and someone grabbed me without my consent. The same goes for your baby! A gentle outstretched hand or a warm blanket on my lap mixed with patience is the key to a successful relationship. I know your cat will come to me on their own time, and if not, I’m great at loving from a distance too!

Lauralei was fantastic! It's never easy leaving our cats when we travel, but she immediately put our minds at ease. She was communicative, thoughtful, and attentive throughout our trip. During each visit, she sent plenty of photos and thorough updates, and it was clear she genuinely enjoyed spending time with our cats. When temperatures rose unexpectedly on a couple of days, she proactively let us know and turned on our air conditioners to make sure the cats stayed comfortable. That level of care and attention meant a lot to us. We returned home to happy, well-cared-for cats and would gladly book Lauralei again. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Columbus cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
