My name is Kat, and I’ve been an animal lover my whole life. Starting in my adult life, I became a crazy cat lady. I have 3 kitties of my own that are my whole life!
When I am cat sitting, I like to let the kitties come to me in their own time. I understand cat’s different behaviors and moods, and I will never force touching on a cat if they don’t want it. (I have a sassy tortie myself who lets me know when she’s had enough of me!) I believe it’s important to make a cat feel as comfortable as possible, even if that’s just me sitting on the floor with them and letting them sniff me... Hi!

I am comfortable giving cats medication and even inhalers. (My boy cat Toulouse has asthma).
I have been involved in the cat rescue community for a few years and learned so much about cats and their behavior. I’ve worked with rescue groups to trap feral cats and take them to get fixed and vaccinated (TNR). It is such a rewarding experience! I love knowing that I can help make a cats life better. I have also volunteered in shelters, so I am comfortable with a lot of different kitty personalities!
I am also happy to help with other chores around the house! Bringing in mail, watering plants, even feeding outdoor strays if you need!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy meeting new cats! I love that every cat has a different personality, and I love letting that shine. Making sure your kitty is comfortable and feels love is most important to me.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite experience cat sitting was when I got to look after a sphinx!!! I had never been around one before and I was so excited! He was the sweetest boy.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Anxious cats deserve to feel safe too. My plan around timid cats is always to let them come to me in their own time. I will sit quietly on the floor with them until they feel comfortable. If they are treat motivated, I will give some treats while staying calm.

Kat was great! She took wonderful care of my three indoor and two outdoor kitties, even though there was a foot of snow on the ground and freezing temperatures every day. I received pictures and updates every morning, and Kat was always there at the same time each day so the kitties maintained a routine. She is definitely a cat person!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Columbus cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
