I’ve been owned by cats most of my adult life. Currently I live with Cleo, my senior queen with CKD and diabetes who is allergic to almost everything, and Zorro, my 10-year-old blind wild child. Both of them have required special medications and diets, and I would love to care for your cats the way I’ve cared for them over the years!
I’ve also volunteered at SaveAGato in Puerto Rico and worked with my neighbors to help feed, care for, and trap local strays in Clintonville. I have been with Meowtel for about 3 years now, and I love meeting new friends! I have found that my specialty is sitting and waiting patiently for shy kitties to warm up to me and trying other tricks to get them to come out of hiding. I am more than willing to help out with other simple chores around your house, such as checking mail, watering plants, turning lights and security systems on/off, etc. Of course, every time I visit, your cats will be the priority and I will give them food, playtime, and make sure their dishes and litterboxes are clean. I have a couple catnip plants in my home and might even bring along a fresh treat to share with your cats if that is OK with you!
I am a teacher by day, so I’m available to help afternoons (after 3 or 3:30pm)/evenings. Weekends and holidays are flexible and I will do my best to accommodate your feline needs. I look forward to meeting you and becoming purrrfect friends with your kitty kids :)
I have been double-vaxxed and boosted, and I am definitely able to follow whatever COVID protocols you might have in place at your home - just let me know! I also usually remove my shoes because I have found it keeps things cleaner and cats love to smell them lol.
One final note: Sometimes I will block off days on my calendar if I have school events going on. However, you still might message me before booking and see if something can be worked out…it just might be a very early or a very late visit. If you have very specific timing needs, please message me your questions/needs before booking to avoid any misunderstandings. Thanks in advance!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Columbus cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Janelle is the best cat sitter you could ask for! She always goes above and beyond to make sure your cats are happy and well taken care of. She sends tons of photos and videos, which is amazing when you are missing your cats. :) I am never worried about my cats safety when Janelle is watching them because I know they are in good hands. She is also phenomenal at giving meds - one of my cats, Maddie, is spicy and shy, and she loved Janelle and took medicine from her! Maddie even nuzzled her, which is uncharacteristic behavior from her! I can’t recommend Janelle enough, she treats my cats like royalty, plays with them, gives them tons of attention, and makes sure they feel loved while I’m gone.

We recently had the pleasure of entrusting our beloved cat, Sprinkles, to Janelle while we were away for two weeks, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with her exceptional care. From the very start, Janelle was incredibly communicative, making sure to coordinate times that worked best for us and ensuring that she had all the necessary information to care for Sprinkles. Sprinkles is an older, anxious, and territorial cat who can be quite a handful, but Janelle handled her with incredible patience and understanding. She provided us with detailed updates every day, including photos and videos, so we always knew how Sprinkles was doing. Janelle went above and beyond by noticing even the smallest details, like gunk in Sprinkles’ eye or her sensitivity to certain areas of the house. Despite the challenges of dealing with Sprinkles’ anxiety and occasional aggression, Janelle remained calm and caring, always finding ways to make Sprinkles more comfortable. She even managed to water our plants and handle unexpected tasks like a mistakenly delivered package. Janelle was AMAZING! She was very responsive and really cared about my 3 cats. I had never left them for an extended amount of time and she really made it so much less stressful. Janelle sent detailed updates and really gave each cat personalized attention and care. my shy cat usually hides from strangers but Janelle was able to get her out and socialize with her, I was so impressed! I loved seeing the update pictures and felt so good about them having time with her to get attention (and treats). Janelle was an AMAZING pet sitter. My elderly cat is very shy and needs daily medication. She was willing to interact in whatever ways my cat was comfortable with, even when that meant laying next to the bed and playing laser pointer, petting, and chatting under the bed.
