I’ve been with Meowtel for over 2 years now. I’m so happy that I chose to do this. I’ve formed friendships with my clients and special bonds with their sweet kitties... My love for cats started when a stray cat kept showing up at our house. We fell in love with him immediately, and spoiled him like you cannot believe! Sadly he passed away a few years later, and to try to fill the emptiness in my heart, I decided to start volunteering at one of the communities animal shelters CHA, in October of 2017, that is where we ended up adopting brother kittens, Watson and Jasper! They are spoiled and loved beyond words! However, they are not the type of brothers that like to cuddle together. Watson likes his space and Jasper likes his own. When they do get close, it’s awesome to see!
I’ve been with Meowtel for over 2 years now. I’m so happy that I chose to do this. I’ve formed friendships with my clients and special bonds with their sweet kitties. I am also a Building Aide in one of the local school systems. I love what I do, because I get to have fun with the students, play, love and care for cats! I feel very thankful that I get to do this! My students and her enjoy looking at pictures and watch videos of Watson and Jasper. Doing both of those jobs is so rewarding because I feel like I’m making a difference with the students and her.
In 2019 I also completed the Citizens Police Academy, I’m also on the board of the Alumni Association of the Citizens Academy as well. I volunteer throughout the community with the alumni with local events. I also like to volunteer at local 5k’s. I’m fully vaccinated and will be happy to provide my immunization card if asked. Looking forward to spending time caring, playing and loving for your cat (s) in their on safe environment. What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve worked for Meowtel since March 2023. I truly love it because now I have repeat clients that I get to see their cats again!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Making the families feel relaxed so that while their away, they know that I’ll be in their home caring for their cats! I love seeing the cats feel comfortable with me to let me pet them, play with me and take treats for me!
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
It was probably my first client. It was a last minute reservation because their original sitter cancelled and they were flying out 12 hours later. The cats were shy at first, but the cat parents had lots of toys and treats to coax them to make them feel comfortable and safe. Now every time I go over we have a great time because they remember me! I’ve cat sat for them now 3 more times since!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I’ve got two boys Watson and Jasper. They’ll be 7 years old this year. They’re actually litter brothers! Watson is very chill and Jasper wants to be the boss!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
The company is very trustworthy. We had to be background checked with referrals sent in. Once you book with us, you’ll be put at ease knowing you have someone in your home who loves cats and trustworthy!
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I go to the meet and greet first. I then immediately sit on the floor so that the cats can come to me, smell and possibly pet them. I start talking to the parents telling them about me and past cat sitting jobs. I may also show them videos of my past cat clients showing them what I do.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I make sure all the doors leading to the outside are locked, windows shut. If I see something small on the floor that they could pick up with their mouths and possibly choke on it, I put it in a cabinet or drawer.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, We do like to get away for a few days if possible. Otherwise we’re home. Our families are close by so we like being at home. We normally travel in January, April and the fall. I also work in the school system. That gives me a lot more flexibility in the summer and around the holidays.
What is your favorite cat toy?
A toy on a stick! It gets them to scoot on the floor, bat at it or jump to get it. Laser toy is also a favorite!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I will leave a shirt of mine on the couch so they will recognize my scent. I also will tempt them with treats or their favorite toy.

Amie was wonderful! Amie sent updates and pictures and videos each day. It really made our trip to Ireland relaxing without worrying about Skeeter and Sophie. My cats were being pampered and doted on and left in trustworthy hands! Amie had her hands full with Skeeter, our IBD cat. Lots of messes, but she handled it with grace. My cats were so well taken care of, that whe we got home, they just greeted us and seemed relaxed. Not wildly anxious and needing attention. Just purrs and cuddling. Amie get a superior rating from this household! Next time we plan a trip Amie is the ONE for these babies. P.S. Amie left bananas and blueberry muffins on the counter for our breakfast! What a touch!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Westerville cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

I was going on vacation, out of the country for 10 days, and had to leave my two cats for the first time. I was anxious, stressed, and emotional about it all until I came across Meowtel and found Amie. She met with me prior to my trip to meet me and my cats and to get all the details that she needed for the sitting. My cats are shy around people and on this first visit, she was able to get them to sniff her hand which was a huge deal for them. I knew right then that everything would be fine. Amie visited twice a day to take care of my babies, from feeding and fresh water to playing with them. She took care of making sure the litter in the Litter Robot was topped off and emptied the tray when it got full. Amie went above and behind, sweeping the litter from the floor, vacuuming, and taking out my trash on trash days. The best part to make me feel comfortable was all the pictures and messages she sent. I could see they were having a lot of fun and were being well taken care of which allowed me to enjoy my vacation. I would highly recommend Amie, just not when I need her lol 🙂
