What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
The cats, of course! Cats are my life, and I love being able to meet all different kinds and to be able to take care of them. Cat parents are normally shocked and thankful at how quickly their shy kitties warm up to me, and it makes the job twenty times better. Knowing that I can create bonds with my clients and their cats is a special thing, and I absolutely love it.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have three cats. Bean, Cheese, and Kitty. Bean is a three legged grey tabby cat, Cheese is an orange and white Tabby, And Kitty is an all black Shorthair.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am normally available during holidays. If not, I will communicate and state otherwise. Either on my profile or I will communicate it with you.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I’ve met many a cat who has been shy, timid, or anxious. I go at their own pace. I normally offer them treats or food (if available) and only if they’re comfortable with it. If not, I ignore them to let them size me out. I also make sure they sniff my hand or a piece of my clothing, and I crouch low or sit fully on the ground so I’m not seen as a threat. I can almost always make a shy cat break out of their shell!

Our kitties were new to our home and new to human contact. Isabella won them over on the first day! She provided fresh water and food, clean litter pans and lots of play time. They didn't miss us one bit. Isn't that the highest praise for Isabella?! We are absolutely comfortable with traveling again and leaving our four-footed "children" in her care.

She regularly provided photos and videos of my cats' wellbeing (even of my extremely shy kitty that always hides). She kept things neat, clean, & tidy with their food, (fresh) water, and litter box. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Salem cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
