Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I do! Peach is my oldest kitty at almost 10 years old. When she was around 2 or 3 she was showing signs of boredom, so naturally I needed a new kitty. Around that time my co-worker happened to find a very small kitten outside that still needed bottle fed, and that is my Marnie. Watching her grow made me want to foster kittens. My 22nd and last kitten ended up needing an amputation, so naturally he had to stay with me. I named him Bubbie and I call him the Phantom Legged Menace. He is the true test of patience.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I like to set-up a 15 minute meet and greet before accepting the request to make sure it's a good match for you, me, and kitty! During the meet and greet I'd like to learn the routines, feeding schedules, medications, picture and update preferences, and litterbox care. I'd also like to get a tour of where I'd be staying and what areas I can/can't be. After confirming that it's a good fit and accepting the request, I'll reach out a couple days before the stay to confirm we're still good! During the stay I'll follow everything as asked and keep your home clean and cared for (although I'm not the best with making a bed). Also, if you want pictures and pet updates outside of the requested times feel free to reach out for them at anytime!
Are you usually available during holidays?
Absolutely! I have experience with longer stays pet-sitting. I stayed for over a week during Thanksgiving to take care of 2 senior pets that needed more medications than most human seniors.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
