What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been a Meowtel cat sitter since 2019.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Interacting with the cats. Even though some are shy or skittish, its fun when they come around and let me interact with them. This usually happens because I sit on the floor, to get closer to them.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I met the client at meet and greet. Their cat walked along the sofa and kept head butting my hand. I never met a friendlier cat. He was that way during every visit.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Angel (mostly white) and Purry (brown tabby)

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Look for a sitter that will communicate with you during the visits with updates, such as texting, photos or videos.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Find out their cats behaviors when others are around, where does cat usually hang with owners are not home.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I never open the door entering completely to ensure the cat is not at the door. I always need to see the cat before I leave. I back out the door when leaving to be sure cat does not run out door.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Always, I don't go away on holidays, even for the day.

What is your favorite cat toy?

Laser pointer, bird that chirps and crinkle ball.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I sit on floor away from them talking baby talk, allowing them to come to me. If they don't, I don't go towards them. I allow my voice and scent to attract. I also use soft eyes.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
