I understand how hard it can be to leave your babies behind, so my goal is always to help pet parents feel at ease while they’re away. I focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment where your kitties feel comfortable, secure, and cared for at every moment... Hi! I’ve been volunteering with Green Street Rescue since 2021, and caring for cats is truly one of my greatest passions. I share my home with four rescue cats of my own, all saved from the streets of Philadelphia, and I treat every cat I care for with the same love, patience, and devotion I give my own.
I understand how hard it can be to leave your babies behind, so my goal is always to help pet parents feel at ease while they’re away. I focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment where your kitties feel comfortable, secure, and cared for at every moment.
I have extensive experience administering oral medications, applying topical treatments, and closely monitoring cats during recovery. I’ve personally supported my own cats through spay and neuter surgeries, as well as an invasive abdominal surgery, so I’m very attentive to changes in behavior and comfort levels.
During each cat sit, I take the time to meet every kitty exactly where they are. That means keeping litter boxes extra clean, engaging in gentle play to burn off energy, offering plenty of affection (as much or as little as they want), and moving at their pace. I make it a priority to follow their normal routine as closely as possible and I’m always happy to send frequent photos and updates — because I know how comforting it is to see your own babies while you’re away.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I absolutely love meeting all the fun personalities each cat brings. They are so unique and special and all have their quirks! I had one cat who needed his wet food chopped up with special scissors or he refused to eat and it made me laugh but I have lots of respect for his stubbornness!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
My #1 anxiety when traveling is the security of my cats when people are entering or exiting my house so when cat sitting this is definitely my #1 priority. I make sure to crack doors slowly and get down low to make sure everyone is safe and indoors! I also always double check windows and locks even though I don’t ever touch them just to be safe!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have a grey tabby boy at home named Thomas who struggles really bad with anxiety form being abused when he was a kitten. I have learned how to handle his anxiety over time as he will hide in a corner when anyone comes into my house and not come out at all. I handle cats like this with patience and confidence. I think cats can sense when you feel anxious or are pressuring them so I try to stay relaxed and offer some of their favorite food or things (whatever the kitty parent recommends) and practice patience. I will sit at a distance for 30+ minutes if they are comfortable just so we can hang out and get used to each other. If I am told the cat doesn’t want to be bothered at all I respect that too!

From the first meet and greet, she formed a great connection with my cat Phoebe, who is playful but shy at first, and she understood the personality quirks of my reclusive semi-feral cat Pete. She sent wonderful updates that showed me how much time she spent playing with and cuddling Phoebe—she even spent some extra time with her. She’s an amazing cat sitter, and she’s my first choice for future reservations.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Philadelphia cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
