Some final notes about me… I’m an event planner, so I work random hours each week. Which makes me a great candidate if your feeding times are less strict! Most days I work 9-5(ish) but have some flexibility depending on my week. With that being said, I love to make sure I make extra time for the kitties and give them extra scratches if dinner is 5 minutes late (I know my cat can read the dinner clock better than I can!)

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love learning their personalities! Every cat is so different which makes them equally as fun. My girls are both so different, so I have learned to lean into each cats demeanor to make sure they are loved in the best way possible.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I would recommend finding someone that you’re comfortable communicating honestly with. That includes phone calls, texts, emails, etc. You need to be able to vibe with your sitter so that you can more easily trust them with your pets.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I focus on what the cat owner wants! Every home, apartment, and condo is different. Every cat parent is different too! So I focus on what they need and want, and make sure to follow that. While I do believe general pet safety is extremely important, the owner knows their pet better than myself. I do also make sure to ask for all vet information, carrier location, and emergency contact information before I start sitting. This is a no brainer, as I want to be prepared for any and all emergencies.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

- February 13-19: Presidents Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Philadelphia cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
