What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
My advice to a perspective customer looking to hire a cat sitter would be to definitely do a meet and greet with the cat sitter. Get to know them a bit. Watch how they interact with your fur baby. Ask them questions to make sure it is a good fit. Then follow your gut. Just because a bio might sound good, doesn’t mean they’re a good fit for your unique kitties.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Likewise as a cat sitter, I want to get to know the cat parents a bit. And of course meet the felines I’ll be taking care of. I need to learn any special requirements and instructions for the care of the kitties so they’re well taken care of, loved and kept safe.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
It can be very intimidating for any fur baby that comes into a shelter environment so I’m definitely used to handling these cats that may be anxious or timid. I let the cat come to me on their terms. They need to trust me and I make sure that they learn that they can trust me. Each cat is unique and getting to know them is so important.

Nadine is a cat lover and she definitely shows her love for my cat when she stops by when we are away. Whether it’s overnight or for a week, she spends time playing, rubbing and making sure she’s content! Nadine checks her food and water to make sure they are filled and also cleans her litter box. There are times when she will visit with her for an hour! My cat purrs the whole time Nadine is here! I would highly recommend Nadine if you need a cat sitter!

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Conway cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
