What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
7 years and contract employee with an exclusive cat only sitting service. I have owned cats as well and adopted.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love each cats personality. When you made a friend of a cat and it feels wonderful! I like to make them feel at ease and know they can trust me.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I really like to interact with cats to see if they have a playful part of their personality and whether that's just laying on the ground or playing with certain toys, I like to try and entertain them as much as I can.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I had cats all my life but sadly I lost my cat at 1 year old. She had developed neurological issue and seizures. Her quality of life diminished.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Look for a loving sitter with experience and favorable reviews from their clients.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
We have the initial conversation about needed dates for care. We can set up and meet and greet if desired and meet the cats and go over care instructions. However there are owners that don't require a meet and greet and I have provided care many times with care instructions provided by owner on application.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I am very observant and my attention is always directed to the cat that is my care I want them to be reassured and enjoy the time we have together
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes with some flexibility with timeframes
What is your favorite cat toy?
The stick and string like a fishing rod with a toy on a feather. This seems to engage and encourage participation with the cat whether just watching or chasing/grabbing with pawsor mouth.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I give them their space and let them dictate the interaction as if any. Their comfort is the most important

Jody was wonderful! We currently have 7 kitties in the house, so I wasn’t sure anyone would want to help. So grateful she took the job! She sent summaries of her visits along with plenty of pictures. It was clear the cats were comfortable with her. She took the time to play and interact with our kitties. i would definitely recommend her and will use her again should the need arise.

Jody is awesome. My cat who usually hides under the bed when I am away, came right out for Jody. She took the time to play with my cat after his feeding. She sent the best pictures along with a write up on her visit. I would definitely use Jody. She is probably the best cat sitter I have ever used. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Myrtle Beach cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
