I have been cat sitting for friends and family since I was a child and for Meowtel since 2018 and I have taken care of cats of almost all ages and temperaments.
My friends, family, and previous clients have called me the cat-whisperer, which drives me to connect with all my kitty clients as best I can (even the shy ones) so they don't feel alone while their humans are gone.
Meet & Greet:
As a Meowtel sitter I offer complimentary meet and greets. I find them to be the perfect opportunity to get to know new fur-clients and learn how you take care of them... I am a Neuroscience PhD student at UT Southwestern and I cat sit for Meowtel on the side to get an extra kitty-induced dopamine boost. I grew up around cats and I now have two fur babies of my own: a very chatty and playful Russian Blue named Binx, and a tiny calico speed racer named Tonin.

Meet & Greet:
As a Meowtel sitter I offer complimentary meet and greets. I find them to be the perfect opportunity to get to know new fur-clients and learn how you take care of them. When I meet new kitties I take things very slowly and let them make all the decisions (but am not above bribing friendship with their favorite treats haha).
Your Visit:
During each visit I will take care of your fur baby's basic needs (food/water, litter) as well as play with, brush, cuddle, or just leave them alone depending on what it prefers.
I have experience providing oral medications (both liquid and pill forms) and am happy to give your kitty their meds if needed.
I'm also happy to water plants/take it mail if needed and will of course follow any house rules while in your home (e.g. shoes free, etc).
COVID/Illness Precautions:
I always sanitize my hands prior to entering clients' homes and am happy to arrange a virtual meet & greet or wear a mask when in your home if you like--just let me know!
About me:
Background: I'm from California (various places) & did my undergrad in Neuroscience at UCLA
Hobbies: Reading, jigsaw puzzles, crafting (I'm teaching myself to sew this year!)
Fun facts:
-I used to coach downhill ski racing
-I love playing D&D & attend the Texas Renaissance Faire each year
-One of my favorite things to do is latin dance (salsa & bachata).

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting my whole life for friends & family & have been cat sitting for Meowtel since 2018. Over the years I have sat for cats of almost all ages & temperaments as well as dealt with a variety of oral medications for my clients.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a very chatty & playful Russian Blue named Binx. And a new speedy calico kitten named Tonin. I was so lucky to adopt them, they have made my life so much better!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have dealt with many timid and anxious kitties. I've found the most effective way of doing so it simply patience and quiet. I am very willing to just sit quietly next to their hiding spot with a favorite snack or toy until they feel comfortable emerging. For cat parents with particularly timid/anxious kitties who really want their fur-baby to bond with their sitter I recommend booking longer time slots so their kitty has more time to get comfortable.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Dallas cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

One of my cats was previously abused and he is extremely shy. He’s never warmed up to a friend or roommate before so when I left him with Sarah I figured she would probably never see or interact with him. Imagine my shock when in one of her nightly pictures/updates she was posing with him snuggling!!! She is amazing with cats. I was so nervous to leave my two fur babes alone for a week but Sarah made the trip seamless and stress free.

Sarah is an awesome sitter and I am really grateful to have somebody so reliable and responsible to take care of my cat! He can get stressed out when I'm gone, and I've noticed with Sarah that when I come back after a trip, he is always more calm than he has been with other sitters. Sarah is amazing and such a cat whisperer! My cat is very social, can be fickle with other people, and definitely hates it when I leave. But when Sarah checks in on her - I come back to a happy kitty. She sends pictures after every visit and I always feel assured that my cat is well taken care of while I'm away with Sarah.
