What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I started cat sitting over 10 years ago, off and on. Within the last year it’s been more intentional. My partner and I have also been fostering kitties for the last year.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two cats. A female named Ari. She is our little foster fail. And my first born, named Patchouli.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

With cats that are timid or anxious I allow them to come to me. Give them their space and take it with baby steps. Normally a parent will let me know and I’ll ask to be shown their hiding spots. This way when I arrive I can check in on them. I would speak to them sweetly. Allow the space for them to come to me. Attempt to give a treat.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
