What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

For the past 3 years, I've been caring for multiple stray cats in my neighborhood through daily feeding and TNR programs. Working with strays taught me to read different cat personalities, which comes in handy when I need to determine between friendly or skittish strays. I understand cat body language, feeding schedules, and the importance of respecting each cat's unique comfort zone. Furthermore, I have experience cat sitting for a close friend’s 2 year old kitty with a history of abuse. I gave her the space she needed to be comfortable with me first, and once she was aware I would not harm her, I would, at her own pace, follow the schedule provided by her owner.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a long hair orange tabby named Mango. She is four years old, and is a stray who walked into my house demanding love during our renovation. I was chosen by the cat distribution system, and I am grateful for it everyday. My stray cats are also named as Callie, Pepper, Temu, Mama, and Mavis.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I would say to ask about the cat sitter’s specific cat experience because dogs and cats are totally different! Look for someone who understands feline body language and can spot health changes early. A great sitter should ask detailed questions about your cat's routine, personality quirks, and preferences. Make sure they're responsive communicators who'll send regular updates without being asked. Most importantly, arrange a meet-and-greet to see how your cat reacts to them!

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
