A little about me: I left my 9-5 job during the pandemic which meant lots of extra lap time for my own furbaby, Nall (and the two kittens we adopted since then) -- and now for yours as well! I've had 11 cats throughout my life, so I've lived with many unique cat personalities. Each one has taught me so much about life and love. I understand how to engage based on what your kitty needs. As much as I would love to cuddle every single cat I meet, that doesn't mean that's what *they* would love! You can trust that I'll let your baby lead the way as we begin our furiendship.

Over the years I've come to realize there are people who like cats...and there are cat people. It might sound like the same thing, but my experiences have shown me that there's a difference -- and I am truly a cat person. I have volunteered at two shelters helping to socialize cats. I've read books and articles on understanding, training, and caring for cats. I've TNRed a colony of cats near my home here in Houston. My goal for visiting your kitties isn't just to clean their box and make sure they have food; it's to ensure their comfort and quality of life while you're away.
I live in central Houston so I mainly cover locations Inside the Loop. This is broken into two service areas with further locations being a slightly higher rate to account for gas and the longer drive. I am a non-smoker and prefer to catsit in non-smoking homes. Since I am a stay-at-home cat mom, I have a lot of flexibility and am happy to accommodate your schedule while you're away. Looking forward to meeting you and my new furiends!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I've been pet sitting for friends and family since I was a teenager (~25 years ago) and joined Meowtel in 2023 after having a lot of really bad cat sitters myself. I love that Meowtel is only for cats and I love being able to make sure cat parents don't have some of the same cat sitting experiences I went through.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
My husband and I currently have three! Nall is our 10 year old big boy and in the fall of 2023 we adopted two kittens -- Allora and Revan -- now both 2 years old.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Find someone you trust and who offers you and your cats what you each need. You're not just leaving the feed and caring of your kitties to the sitter -- you're leaving your house with them, and entrusting them with anything that might go astray. Is this sitter someone who will communicate with you and who you trust to make the right decisions if they're at an emergency vet? Will they be both patient with your anxious cat and playful with your wildcat? Not every sitter will be a good fit for every cat home, and that's ok.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
The meet and greet is the most essential part of beginning a new client relationship. I will observe how you interact with your cats and see what their normal behaviors around you look like. I have a list of items to cover during the meet and greet and will take notes on my phone to ensure I always have that info handy when I visit. I also welcome any tidbits you want to share to help me better understand your kitties and what to expect while you're away.

Suzy is a cat angel!!! she charmed Archie immediately, shyer Harry within a day, played with them, got their favorite toys out from under the couch multiple times per visit, brushed them, washed their dishes…and daily updates included multiple photos and videos. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Houston cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Suzy is so creative with her playtime routines. Cats can be so slow to come out of their shell, and my cat is definitely like that. Suzy is so patient the entire time and she never gives up finding creative ways to entice Henry to play while still respecting his space. She knows to ask about designated hiding places and then she’s super respectful of them and she’s so aware of cat body language. Suzy is worth her weight in gold and if she did not have her own fur babies to look after I would always choose to bring her with us for family trips!

Suzy is a godsend for me and my cat! Suzy was responsive during the initial meet and greet period, she went above and beyond, I thought, even during the meet and greet. And while every cat is different, it truly seems like Suzy is a cat whisperer that fundamentally understands cats and cat behavior. My cat immediately felt at ease around her and received all the love, care, and attention I’d wish for him to have even during the first meeting. I know Suzy has cats of her own, otherwise I would be asking her to travel with us during the trips that we do bring the cat, so that he would always have Suzy with him. Suzy was respectful of the agreed-upon meeting times, respectful of the house, and, of course, respectful to the cat. Suzy is neat and tidy, sends detailed descriptions of what is happening during the visits, and her pictures and videos go above and beyond. Knowing Suzy is here for Henry the cat in Houston makes arranging any future travel plans, much easier and stress-free.
