What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

What I enjoy most about cat sitting is getting to know each cat’s unique personality. Whether they’re playful, chatty, shy, or full of attitude, I genuinely love earning their trust and finding little ways to make them feel safe and happy while their humans are away. There’s something really peaceful about spending time with cats. I love watching them nap in a sunbeam or slowly blink at you from across the room. It’s a quiet kind of joy that I never get tired of. I believe every cat deserves the best quality of life, and I enjoy being able to provide that, even if it’s just for a weekend.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

When working with cats and cat parents, my goal is to provide care that feels consistent and comforting. I always start with a conversation to learn about your cat’s unique personality, routines, medical needs, and any quirks or preferences they might have. I want to know what makes your cat feel safe, happy, and comfortable. If possible, I like to do a meet-and-greet beforehand so your cat can see me in their space and start to feel familiar with me. I’ll also ask about feeding schedules, litter box habits, favorite toys, hiding spots, medications, and anything else you’d like me to know.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

For timid or anxious cats, I take things slow and let them set the pace. I never force interaction. Instead, I give them space and quietly observe their comfort level. I’ll often sit nearby and speak softly, letting them come to me if and when they’re ready. I’m very mindful of body language and will adjust my approach based on how the cat responds. Some cats need a few days to warm up, and that’s completely okay. I’ve cared for many shy cats over the years, and I know that patience, consistency, and a calm presence go a long way in building trust.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
