Marlena has without a doubt given me back my life! I have been afraid to leave my boys, Sunny and Stormie, since their adoption nearly two years ago. I was worried no one would understand my two little guys and their opposite personalities. Stormie is fearful of anyone other than me and hides all the time, whereas his little brother is playful and never meets a stranger. Marlena took the time to play with Sunny and then quietly seek out Stormie just to let him know he wasn’t alone without being forceful or encroaching on his safe space. After a couple of days, Stormie felt so confident and safe, he came out of his hiding place during her visits! I had tears of joy! The daily photos and videos gave me the peace of mind I desperately needed to relax and enjoy my vacation. I am beyond grateful for Marlena and her ability to adapt to the different needs of my fur babies! Thank you so much!!

This was my first time using a cat sitter, and I am absolutely thrilled with the experience. One of my cats is really timid, so I was worried they would just hide from a stranger. But when she arrived, I watched on camera as my cat came out to greet her without any hesitation! She also kept me completely worry-free by sending photos, videos, and very detailed updates on how they were doing. I am definitely going to ask her to watch my cats again next time.

Marlena recently watched our cat during a two-week trip. She took good care of our girl, who is usually shy with strangers, and kept her well-fed. I also appreciated her thoughtfulness in picking up our mail and moving the trashcan to the garage. However, basic maintenance needs improvement. I had to sanitize the kitchen table and console due to left-behind wet food stains. Most importantly, the litter box area wasn't swept for the full two weeks, causing a significant mess. For a highly rated professional, routine litter maintenance should be a priority for the cat’s well-being and the home, not an optional final courtesy. Additionally, Marlena left our house key under the mat without checking first. While convenient this time, it's something future clients might want to discuss beforehand. I would recommend Marlena for shorter stays. LITTER AREA HYGIENE: Marlena did message me to let me know she was unable to locate a dustpan. What she omitted is that she waited until AFTER HER FINAL VISIT—16 days into the booking—to send this text, and she never actually asked where it was. She apparently had no intention of remedying the situation, since she informed me in that same text that she had already left the key under the doormat. When I very diplomatically replied, noting that I would have gladly told her where the tools were had she asked sooner so she wouldn’t have had to live with the tracked litter all that time, she casually responded: "Oh the broom and dustpan was more that I wanted to clean up before y’all got home. It didn’t exactly bother me." This shows a shocking lack of professional standards, especially coming from a 5-star rated sitter. The documented reality is that proper hygiene was not maintained around the litter area, leaving our home's condition severely compromised at checkout, with unswept cat litter tracking through the hallway and into our kitchen. HOUSE KEY: Leaving the key under the mat turned out to be a logistical convenience for us this time, and it is true that I thanked Marlena for doing so. However, my thanking her does not change the fact that she did this entirely without my prior knowledge or agreement. The physical house key was left completely unsecured under an outdoor doormat at checkout. This was not a "miscommunication" issue. This is an important security fact future clients should be aware of before booking her services.

Marlena was my very first Meowtel sitter and she blew my expectations out of the water! Very communicative, super sweet to both of my boys, let me know if any delays occurred, and sent so many memorable photos and videos, I’ve never felt more home while being away from home! she is truly a cat person! knowledgable and very caring towards them. I have always been anxious about the idea of having a stranger in my home with my precious kitties, but Marlena quickly dispelled my fears when she came for a meet-and-greet. It was clear from the start that she knew what she was doing. She identified that our keypad lock was low on battery just by hearing the sound (we had no idea!) based on her experience with past clients. She also noticed one of my cats lost her collar (needed for the automatic feeder) and found it and put it back on. She was also great about keeping in touch - while we were gone she sent lots of photos and videos. It made me really happy to see that my kitties were getting love and treats in my absence. I will absolutely be booking her again for my next trip!

We’ve booked Marlena several times at this point and she’s the only person we trust with our kitties! She always gives us several pictures and videos every time she comes. We get to see their reactions to her as she comes in the door, so we know they love her and are so happy to see her! She also feeds our fish for us. We won’t be booking anyone else!

Marlena is extremely trustworthy, knowledgeable about cats, and my cat absolutely loved her! she sent us adorable photos and even music videos of our cat every day, which really helped while we were missing her! A super kind and wonderful Swiftie/cat person ☺️

Marlena was great! We had a meet and greet before, and I felt very comfortable that she’d care well for my cats. She was happy to give one a pill and to look after 2 fosters in addition to my 3 cats. She sent updates every day which made my day.
