I like to meet cats with their parents, when possible, and if it is not possible, ... Hi! I'm Annabelle and I've had cats since 14. I own two cats of my own (Triscuit and Strawberry) and they are the light of my life. I am a master's student who works fulltime (830-500) with kids on weekdays and pet sit for fun.
I like to meet cats with their parents, when possible, and if it is not possible, then, I like to take introductions slow by being in their area, bribing with treats, and attempting play!
I'm big on respecting boundaries with animals and avoid pushing them. I do love to cuddle and pet them when they enjoy that! My favorite thinf about cats is their purrs and the way they are when playing!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love building a bond with cats! I like to play with them but just sit near them and hangout as well. I really enjoy the first time I get to pet them and seeing their full personality when they get comfortable.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I sat for three cats where two were shy and anxious. By the end of my visits, all three were hanging out with me and near me in the living room and one even let me pick them up for snuggles!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Triscuit and Strawberry! They are both girls and adults. Strawberry is new but she's starting to be more confident and her and Triscuit are starting to play and be friends!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Always meet them first! If someone is coming into your home to care for valued family members - always meet them so you can ask any important questions and see who they are!
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I provide frequent updates and communication with pictures and texts! I like to start with a meet and greet so they can see who will be with their kitties!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I always ensure extra room doors are closed to prevent any accidental lock ins. I lock the door behind myself when coming in and out before leaving!
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I have a fiance who cares for our pets so I can petsit. I get a full week off at christmas, so I do accept sits during this time.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I love the bendy poles that allow me to whip the toys around and watch the kitties chase them! It is adorable!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I answer this in my bio- but take it slow and just be nearby and provide treats if they allow. I want them to associate me with good things, not scary things!

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
