Though I no longer have any kitties of my own (at least not on this side of the rainbow bridge), I still get a big fat goofy grin any time I happen across a cat. I even went to a cat café for my 25th birthday; so I've paid my own money to spend time with kitties! All that suffices to say: I delight in being around cats — the old and young, the zoomiest and loafiest, the shy and aloof, and the spicy... I grew up in a two-cat household and later became a lucky recipient of the universal cat distribution system – i.e., a sweet stray street cat found and adopted me. I promptly spent too much money on cat enrichment paraphernalia – water fountains, a cat tree, tunnels, balls, wands, toys that look like mice and fish and birds, a wall-mountable hair brush, catnip, scratching posts, some battery-powered moving-butterfly contraption, the whole nine yards.
Though I no longer have any kitties of my own (at least not on this side of the rainbow bridge), I still get a big fat goofy grin any time I happen across a cat. I even went to a cat café for my 25th birthday; so I've paid my own money to spend time with kitties! All that suffices to say: I delight in being around cats — the old and young, the zoomiest and loafiest, the shy and aloof, and the spicy.
Before Meowtel, I catsat for various friends and family for a variety of ages of cat – even tiny kitties wearing socks as repurposed sweaters. I also used to watch Jackson Galaxy (of the "My Cat From Hell" show) on TV, so I have him to thank/blame for my cat behavioral knowledge. (I may never stop slow-blinking at cats.) I’ll dutifully handle all the relevant tasks, with special care in following any accompanying instructions (feedings, socialization, playtime, litterbox cleaning, scritches, brushing). Meowtel has given me all the more experience with the gamut of cats -- cats with litter aggression, that get overstimulated, cats with inhalers and prescribed oral meds, etc. I have found that I have a particular flair for befriending skittish, stranger-wary cats, which is always a gratifying experience.
I just relocated here to my home state after finishing my master's program in Washington state, so I'm now building a new client base here from scratch. I know that trusting your cats and your home with someone can be daunting, but hopefully it will be a little less daunting knowing that you’re leaving them with a conscientious, responsible person who promises to always treat your home and pets with the care and respect that they deserve.

Sara was proactive and friendly in communicating, and I felt very reassured that my cat would be in the very best hands (literally). Sara is amazing! We booked her for overnight boarding service for about 2 weeks. She was thorough in her text updates, followed instructions perfectly, and most importantly of all, she played well with our kitties!! We have two cats, one of whom was a little shy and hard to engage in play. Sara took note of this and made sure to give her separate play time and made an effort of engaging her. We are beyond grateful for Sara. We will surely book again if we need cat sitting services in the future.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Plano cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
