What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I think my favorite thing about cat sitting is when you can feel like the cat is comfortable in your presence and you are doing something to give them some peace. I love eye contact with cats when they give you a slow blink and you know you are making headway. And it is even better when the cat lets you pet them and play with them.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I think the best experience i had cat sitting was taking care of another cat from feral friends. It was an older ginger cat that was rescued. I was not her foster mom, but I did two weeks of respite for her foster mom. This kitty did not want to engage. She was terrified of everything. I kept her upstairs at first so she would feel safe. I stayed in the room with her for hours at a time. I played quiet relaxing music and I laid on the floor occasionally talked to her as she was hiding under the bed. I even napped on the ground . After a few days I woke up feeling her whiskers brushing against my arm. I knew we made a breakthrough. She began to allow me to lightly pet her. We became friends.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two cats- they are six years old approximately. They were feral cats that I adopted together as a bonded pair from Feralfriends. I guess you could say they were foster fails. They both turned into total lap cats and sleep with me every night. They own the house and I just live there. They are named Mia and Ava and they are littermates. They are incredibly smart and very spoiled.

If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
