What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been pet sitting for 10+ years! I enjoy taking care of animals of all ages. As many as five at a time! I love every minute of it.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love being able to spend time with other people's cats because it is just like babysitting, you can give the kids back. I have three cats of my own and they each have very different personalities. I love getting to know each one that I spend time with and see how they vary from my own! :)

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have three beautiful cats - Zeus, Mr. Fitz, and Niko. Zeus was found at just a week old and was bottle fed. He is now a healthy big boy! Niko was part of a litter from the community and he is a Savannah/bengal mix. Super vocal and very active. Mr. Fitz is my lovely senior that loves lots of cuddles!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I remain calm and try to not make too much noise. This allows them to get to know me and feel comfortable approaching me.

Alyssa did a wonderful job cat-sitting for my two tortie-shells, Redsea and Raskal. She even gave one of my cats, Redsea, her medicine which is needed every-other day. In addition, she also watered my plants, fed my fish, and fed my birds for a small additional fee. She sent me pictures of my cats, fish and plants daily to show me that all was OK. She contacted me everyday to let me know that I should not worry and have a great time. She did above and beyond on everything!! Alyssa is a super nice and reliable person. All she wanted to do, while I was on vacation, was to make sure that my torties had the best care ever. She did a great job and I will hire her again without question. Thank you Alyssa for doing such a great job!!

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

The Meowtel Promise & Satisfaction Guarantee

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
