What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been pet sitting for most of my life. I’ve taken care of numerous cats, dogs and have even looked after farm and ranch animals every since I was old enough to unlock a front door and strong enough to push open barn doors. I am familiar with strict and/or prescription diets, and I am comfortable administering medication (if you can pill a Himalayan you can pill any cat I always say) including giving intravenous fluids or shots.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Meeting new cats is like my Christmas! I also get extreme separation anxiety when I’m away from my cats. When I go out of town I tell my clients at work I’m worried about my cats and they always say “they’re just cats they’ll be fine” and I reply with, “it’s not the cats I’m worried about, it’s me!”, so I fully understand the stress when leaving animals at home while away and I strive to provide the comfort to pet owners that I would want myself.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I ensure that before I leave my meeting with the cat parents, I fully understand the expectations and routine within the home. I ask plenty (sometimes too many) of questions, making sure I am aware of any nuances with the cat(s) or routine, and establishing trust and understanding between myself and the parents before beginning. I always put myself in the place of the owners and strive to provide the level of service and comfort I would want from my own pet sitter.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
