Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 3 kitties. Fenix is a two year old void. Cyman is my ten year old gingersnap.. Rocky is my four year old rescue ginger. Joboo and Ernie are my angel kitties who spent 20 and 16 years with me, respectively, before crossing the rainbow bridge.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I like to do an in person visit prior to the reservation to meet everybody and to go over needs and expectations.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am usually available during holidays. My surcharge during peak periods is minimal and you still get the same quality kitty care.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toy is any that the kitty will fetch and bring back. Both Cyman and Fenix play fetch.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Patience is key. I like to take my time with timid kitties. I use their name and offer treats, if allowed.

I used this app for the first time and chose Kristi based on her open availability with hours, distance, ratings, and the fact she could do overnight visits on some days. Kristi was awesome! This was my first trip away from my newest cat, Cathy. Cathy is very timid with all people and other animals in my home other than myself. While Cathy did hide the entire time Kristi was visiting (an over night stay and 2, 45 minute visits over 3 days), I saw Kristi on cameras talking to Cathy many times and trying to engage with Cathy. Cathy never engaged, but Kristi tried. I even found treats in Cathy’s hiding place when I returned. Kristi did great and I plan on utilizing her again!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

San Antonio cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Kristi is the purrfect cat sitter. My kitty is almost 20 years old and has a finicky appetite, and also does not trust everyone. She took to Kristi right away and their time spent together was optimal. Kristi sent pictures of her, the cat box and the food every day. She left the house the way she found it. Kristi took over a reservation when my original sitter could not complete the reservation for factors out of her control. I was super impressed with how she handled the situation and she kept really good communication and sent updates frequently. my cat is elderly , needs insulin and Kristi took over the job easily. she even bought a brush and got out all the matted hair I was working on prior to my vacation. will definitely book her in the future!
