I studied forensic science with a minor in biology and earned my bachelor’s last May. While my work keep me busy, my love for animals and my cats never takes a backseat. I find joy in the simple things, whether it’s curling up with my cats for a movie night or giving them extra cuddles. I know how much our pets mean to us, and that’s why I’m committed to providing the best possible care for your furry friend, whether it's a quick check-in, feeding, playtime, or administering any special care they might need.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love being around cats, and meeting new cats with all different personalities. Whether they are energetic, loud, quiet, calm- I don’t mind at all, I enjoy being around cats and appreciating their unique behaviors. I enjoy playing with cats and spending time with them. Some people think cats are low maintence, but truthfully, all cats deserve someone who is willing to play with them, care for them, and love them unconditionally. 🩷

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

To ensure safety and security, I make sure that your cat remains indoors-as per Meowtel policy. When entering the house, I make sure to stand close to the door to avoid cats running out. When leaving the house, I double check my surroundings to ensure no cats escaped. While cat sitting, I will be sure that all doors remained locked for safety.

Are you usually available during holidays?

As long as you give me enough notice, I can easily accomodate. I typically stay in town during holidays, as all my family is here.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I make sure to respect their boundaries. I will let cats sniff my hand and get familiar with my scent before I even try to get close. If they aren’t too comfortable yet, I wait until they choose to be close to me rather than forcing it.

Melina always kept us updated with photos and we appreciated her daily communication. Our cat immediately liked Melina from day one when she introduced herself for the meet and greet. Our cat was well taken care of and I will ask Melina again to take of our cat for our next vacation. I don’t have to stress anymore leaving my cat with someone while I am on vacation. Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
