I currently have one cat of my own, Zelda. She is a tortoiseshell and has the famous tortie attitude-- she is definitely the boss of the house! She is the most talkative cat I've ever met, with such a fun, playful, affectionate personality. Whether she is playing fetch with her catnip mice, or waking me up in the middle of the night and yelling at me until I pet her, she is so funny and charming! I know firsthand how important our cats are to us, and how picky I am about who watches Zelda when I have to go out of town. Providing the best care for your cats is something that I take very seriously, because it hits close to home for me!
Aside from decades of cat ownership (or-- let's be honest-- being owned by cats), I have also volunteered with a local cat rescue. I did everything from cleaning litterboxes to feeding to snuggling lonely kitties who needed a little bit of socialization... I have had cats for almost my whole life, and I truly LOVE them! Every cat is so unique and special and deserves loving and personalized care. I would love to help provide that care for your kitty!

I also gained valuable experience interacting with cats who were shy or nervous around new people.
I have experience administering oral, inhalation, and topical meds to a variety of cats, as well as giving insulin injections. I am very comfortable giving cats any needed meds (even if I get a scratch or ten in the process). I have experience bottle feeding young kittens, and I am happy to care for cats of any age.
During a typical visit, I will give your kitties food and water, clean their litterbox(es) and the area(s) around their food and water bowls, play with/snuggle them (only if they want me to!), and send you pics and videos of your fur babies so that you can check in on them! I can also, on request, bring in mail and packages, water plants, and feed and interact with other pets in the home. If there is anything else you need me to do, just ask, I am glad to help keep your home running smoothly while you are away!
Pet sitting is my full-time job, and I truly love it! In my free time, I love to read fiction and biographies, watch scary movies, try new restaurants, and play Animal Crossing (unsurprising, Raymond the cat is my favorite character). I am responsible, detail-oriented, and conscientious. I am fully vaxxed and boosted, and more than happy to wear a mask in your home.
Each booking includes a complimentary meet and greet, to get to know one another and make sure that we are a great match! I can do meet and greets in person or online.
I am available for cat sitting primarily in the midtown, downtown, Mahncke Park, Alamo Heights, and Southtown neighborhoods, but I am willing to travel to most parts of San Antonio-- just ask! I have a flexible schedule, so I am able to be there for your cats when and where they need me!

I have used Sara to watch after my two kitties a couple times now and she has been fantastic! One of my cats is diabetic and requires twice daily injections…he’s also a huge grump to strangers so he does not make it easy. Sara was able to get past his spicy side and give him the injections when a ton of past sitters have not been able. She sends great updates and photos that makes being away less stressful. Highly recommend Sara for your pet sitting needs! 😊

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

San Antonio cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

This was our first time using a pet sitter and we scored big time finding Sara. She bonded so fast with our shy kitten and was very responsive. We got tons of photos every day. We knew Fennel was in safe and very capable hands. Our vacation was so much better knowing that our pet was not only well cared for but having a little vacation of her own.
