I bring over 25 years of hands-on experience with cats of all ages, from neonates to cherished seniors. I’ve been a lifelong multi-cat owner, adopting and rescuing cats through local shelters and rescue centers. My beloved Chloe lived to 18 ½ years and my second eldest, Dobey, lived to be 17. Today, I share my home with Simba, Cashew, and Fiona, ranging in age from 2 to 11 years old... Hello, fellow cat parents! My name is Jennifer, and I would be honored to care for your feline family members while you’re away.
I bring over 25 years of hands-on experience with cats of all ages, from neonates to cherished seniors. I’ve been a lifelong multi-cat owner, adopting and rescuing cats through local shelters and rescue centers. My beloved Chloe lived to 18 ½ years and my second eldest, Dobey, lived to be 17. Today, I share my home with Simba, Cashew, and Fiona, ranging in age from 2 to 11 years old.
In addition to being a devoted cat parent, I'm currently fostering for a local rescue have recently fostered for ACS. I have fostered both cats and dogs, including bottle-fed neonates. I also have medical care experience, including administering subcutaneous fluids (for cats with kidney disease and chronic urinary issues), giving B12 injections, and handling oral and topical medications.
Cats are my greatest joy. They make me happy just by being themselves. I consider it a privilege to earn their trust, and I promise to provide the same love, attention, and care for your feline companions as I do for my own.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Cats just bring me joy. I love meeting and learning about different cat's personalities. I love observing their behaviors. They are fascinating fur babies. Every cat deserves to treated like royalty and I enjoy caring and showering them with love. I love when cats start recognizing me and greeting me when they see me.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
This is extremely important, the safety and security of the cats. I would like a meet and greet first to go over routine, safety, cats personalities, and all instructions. When cat sitting, all exterior doors and windows should be closed and locked. No small objects or toxic food/chemicals should be out. The cats are probably stressed out with the owners away so keeping them on their feeding schedule is key with some play time. A stressed cat is not a happy cat. Routine is key to prevent unwanted or unsafe behavior. I would need emergency contacts, a local preferred vet, neighbor, family member. If administering medication, I need clear instructions and I would document when it was administered. I would provide photos & videos of cats and a brief description of the visits. This way the owners could be aware I was there and contact me if needed.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I'm mostly in town for holidays. Most of my family live in San Antonio with me. I'm willing to dedicate time to make house visits. I understand hesitating to leave your cat(s) for a trip if you don't have someone you trust to care for them. Consistency is key.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

San Antonio cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
