I’ve been caring for cats since I was 12 years old — over 26 years of hands-on experience. What started as helping neighbors and family quickly became something I genuinely love. Over the years, I’ve cared for cats of different breeds, temperaments, and medical needs, including seniors and cats requiring daily medication or insulin injections. Because I’ve grown up around cats, I’m very comfortable reading feline body language and understanding subtle behavior shifts. Experience has taught me that consistency, patience, and calm energy make all the difference in helping cats feel safe and secure while their humans are away.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Safety is always my top priority. I double-check doors, windows, and gates before leaving and follow all home-specific instructions carefully. I’m mindful about preventing escape risks, especially with curious or anxious cats. During visits, I observe appetite, water intake, litter box habits, and overall behavior to catch any early signs of concern. If something feels off, I communicate immediately. I also treat every home with the utmost respect — keeping spaces tidy, securing keys properly, and maintaining privacy and discretion. You can feel confident knowing both your cat and your home are in attentive, responsible hands.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I approach timid or anxious cats with patience and respect for their boundaries. I never force interaction. Instead, I create a calm environment, speak softly, and allow them to come to me at their own pace. Often, I’ll sit quietly nearby so they can observe me safely before engaging. Small consistency cues — like following their usual routine and using familiar feeding times — help build trust quickly. My goal is always to reduce stress, not increase it. Even if a shy cat prefers distance, I ensure they’re monitored carefully and feel secure during each visit.

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
