I am currently working grave shift, but I want to open my schedule for cat sitting again because I enjoy it and have missed doing it, so hopefully I can help accommodate some people in the coming days and get back to enjoying spending free time with more cats. Thank you for your consideration !

I have 2 cats. First, I have a 6 year old Abyssinian boy. His formal name is Sun Wukong, courtesy name is Goku. And if you know who he is named after, you would know it is the most appropriate name for him! He is the most charismatic cat, his intense monkey/dog-like personality is the most unique I have ever experienced. He is too smart for MY own good, he loves to cause mischief and always keeps me on my toes! I hope to meet many other types of cats and enjoy their personalities as well... Cats have always been my favorite animal and I have been lucky to have had many cat companions throughout my life. I enjoy being a cat sitter in my spare time and would love the chance to meet even more kitties along the way.

Second, I have a half Bengal half Snowshoe girl who is 2 years old. She has been keeping the whole house on our toes. I have tended to other's Bengals so I thought I was prepared but she must have kept some extra wild genes. But she has taught me how to better handle high energy kitties with unique personalities. Her name is Arya Stark, which is very suitable for her. Unless she is in trouble, she is called Arry and continues to seek adventure in every corner of the house and new uncharted boxes that arrive.
I am available around West Jordan and anywhere across the Salt Lake Valley, as I do have my own car and I enjoy driving. If you live outside of my listed service range, you can send me a message and I can possibly make accommodations to reach your home.
I am fully vaccinated and can take many precautions for sanitation. I always make sure to sanitize/wash my hands before entering a home with a - even my own from the time of COVID to now with the bird flu being a concern - since I worry I could possibly carry in a virus because cats are susceptible to these viruses and I would never want to endanger my pets or yours. Here is a snippet of what I use: Clean Republic Multi-Purpose Disinfectant is an EPA-registered, non-toxic, and pet-safe disinfectant formulated with hypochlorous acid (HOCl) to kill 99.9% of bacteria and viruses in 60 seconds, including the COVID-19 virus. It is safe for use around animals, pets, and children, and is effective on surfaces for controlling viruses such as avian influenza.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have done cat sitting for family and friends for many years and I officially started with Meowtel in 2021. Life circumstances caused me to take a break for a year and a half, but I am happy to finally be able to open my availability again.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I most enjoy getting to spend time around more cats. It is also nice to be able to give people peace of mind while they are away from their home and cats, as I know that it something I would worry about extensively myself.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Just to read over everything each sitter lists on their profile so you can find the one who best fits your needs.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I am always cautious when entering and leaving a house to ensure no kitty toes get squished by the door and no cats get outside.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am available most holidays! The only holiday I ever sometimes take a trip for is new years, but not always.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Usually some type of wand toy, I feel like most cats can have fun with it and it is a great way to engage with them for quality time. And if it is a high energy cat like mine, I don't only sit and bounce it around though, I will also run and drag it around the house to make it more exciting until they have gotten enough exercise and wind down.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
My neighbor has a feral kitty she rescued. She would always hide when people come over. So when I was taking care of her for over a week, each day when I enter the house I softly call out her name and I will continue speaking while I am setting her food out and cleaning the box etc. By the third day of this, she finally poked her head out and stole a glance at me. By the fifth day she came out and finally let me pet her and she loved on me. I know that letting a timid cat get used to the sound of you coming into their home will help them gradually feel more comfortable.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
