I grew up with cats of all ages from kittens who need more dedicated play time and interaction, to elderly cats requiring a more patient and gentle approach. I recently moved to Alexandria, but have lived in the DMV area since 2014. My partner and I recently adopted a 4 year old cat from Mount Purrnon cat cafe. I work in international business, and spend my free time renovating our house and exercising.

I am primarily available in the evenings and weekends, but I can also be available weekday mornings (ideally before 9am) and around noon. I have a vehicle so I am able to visit locations around Alexandria, Arlington, Springfield and Annandale. While I don’t have morning availability listed during the week, please feel free to reach out as I may be able to accommodate.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been on the app since January and have really enjoyed meeting so many great cats and getting to see their different personalities!

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

My first reservation, and one of my repeat clients, is a large orange boy who loves to hangout on the balcony. I love pet sitting him and watching him enjoy the nice weather and fresh air outside.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes! I have two family cats that live with my parents: Samie, who turned 21 in February, and Luna, who is 4 years old. We adopted Luna to give Samie some company, and they are very happy together now. My partner and I recently adopted a 4 year old cat from Mount Purrnon named Inky.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I know how quick cats can be, so from first opening the door of the house, I am watching to ensure the cat doesn’t try to slip by. Once I spend time feeding and playing with the cats, I ensure that everything is put away to make sure the cat cannot get into anything they shouldn’t be in. I’ll make sure any pet cameras are functioning properly, as well as provide daily text and picture updates for peace of mind.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I give the cat time to warm up to me, letting them get a sense of my smell and providing things like toys, food and treats to build trust. I try to quietly talk to the cat to get used to me, but provide plenty of space for them to decide if and when they want to approach.

Ashley is genuinely an angel who goes above and beyond to help out however she can - when my apartment suddenly started flooding with water while I was away, she not only made sure my cat was safe and sound but also ensured my A/C got fixed, always sending such sweet updates along the way. I absolutely cannot recommend Ashley enough! This was supposed to be a quick and easy weekend trip when suddenly a snowstorm rolled into town and our flights back home were cancelled. I was so worried - this has been my nightmare since moving up to DC four years ago. Ashley came in on Sunday and absolutely melted all my worries. She was so responsive, setting up extra food, water, and litter for my three cats. She even had the foresight to ask about my flight back and made room in her schedule to accommodate me. It was a dream to work with her and know that my cats were in such good hands. Ashley was great! we just moved to the area and had an amazing cat sitter through Meowtel previously. Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
