Throughout my time as a foster and a pet owner Ive gained experience with newborns to seniors and all the ups and downs along the way. I’ve had kitties with all kinds of illnesses and have become adept at administering oral and topical medications... I grew up with animals in my households but I got MY first kitten in high school and I’ve been a happy cat owner ever since! I foster mamas and kittens through a local rescue and have been lucky to be a foster mom to over a hundred kitties in the last few years.
Throughout my time as a foster and a pet owner Ive gained experience with newborns to seniors and all the ups and downs along the way. I’ve had kitties with all kinds of illnesses and have become adept at administering oral and topical medications. I don’t have a lot of experience giving injections but I have given them in the past and would be happy to administer if you’re willing to give me a quick lesson.
I understand that all cats are different and that there isn’t a one size fits all approach, it’s important to be aware of each kitty’s individual needs and to adjust my actions accordingly. When I sit for kitties I first find and introduce myself to each one and spend a few minutes giving attention if they want it. Then off to clean litter boxes and do whatever is needed for food and water. I then spend more time with kitties, snuggling, playing, or just hanging out if that’s what they prefer.
I believe animals are the best of us and would be honored to care for your sweet babies, I’ve never met a pet I didn’t like!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
My babies are Bits, an all gray small girl with an attitude, and Spidercat, a large lynxpoint colored boy that is scared of his own shadow! Both of these sweet kitties are foster fails from many years ago and I love them so much.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I’m almost always available over the holidays. My husband and I aren’t particular about when we celebrate so it’s easy to work around any plans we make. My family is mostly out of state and we don’t have kids so I generally have time to help others as needed.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I spend time just being near them, talking, scrolling on my phone, or watching tv. Gentle pets if allowed, no physical contact if not wanted (and not required). Wand toys so we can play without getting too close together and churu if permitted.

Sam is an incredible cat sitter!! She was very understanding of our skittish cats and just a great person in general. Friendly and professional, she provided excellent, detailed updates of our fur babies and some of the most cinematic photos of them too lol! She really went above and beyond in terms of connecting with our cats and with us. She was a timely texter and always checked in with us if she had any questions. She did a great job handling the basics and also helped keep our place clean (especially after one of our cats threw up, which we really appreciated). We are so grateful for her and will absolutely book again the next time we are out of town!! Our cat is shy and hides from strangers. Samantha laid on the floor talking to her. An hour later Astrid was out of hiding and not nearly as afraid. Samantha kept in touch via text messages, at least twice a day, and sent a daily photo, usually more than one. When we returned, we found our cat happy and content.We were totally satisfied with the care Samantha provided and her efforts to remain in contact with us daily.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Everett cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $32.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
