I have been house and pet sitting for over 6 years at this point, and I've taken care of a variety of animals, from cats to dogs to livestock and poultry. However cats are my favorite animal, and I would love the opportunity to care for them more!
I have grown up around cats, with both my grandma and my mom being big cat people just like me. I've always had pet cats and I consider myself to be really good with them due to this experience. I like to jokingly say I can "speak cat". I have experience with cats ranging as young as 2 weeks to as old as 20 years.
I love getting to take care of cats, and it's the highlight of any petsitting trip when I get that opportunity. I am hoping that by advertising here, I will be able to pick up more cat clients!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I've been officially pet and house sitting for about 6 years. However I have had cats my entire life (22 years), so I am very experienced taking care of them.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I am the default house/cat sitter for a local couple, who has had me taking care of their two kitty sisters for the past 4 years! These cats are really sweet and I love getting to take care of them. Another one is less cat sitting, but I was still the caregiver for cats! I worked as a park ranger intern at Mount St Helens, and someone found abandoned 2 week old kittens! I was able to help the main park ranger rehabilitate them and learned how to care for kittens that young.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I give them their space and let them come to me! I'm not going to force an interaction on them, I want them to feel safe and comfortable. Even if this means just leaving them be and letting them slowly come out to say hello.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
