Hi! My name is Cookie and I cat sit in the neighborhood of Capitol Hill in Seattle. Please note the radius for my services in my photo gallery.

💬Please message me before requesting a booking for prompt responses to requests. Thank you!

😊About me: I love to care for animals any way I can! I love to run and try new vegan recipes!

🐈My experience: I've pet sat for cats with a variety of personalities. I’ve cared for cats with severe anxiety, cats who need endless play and attention, young troublemakers, and older adult cats with set routines. I love getting to know cats and all their individual quirks. I love the fulfillment that comes from earning a cat's trust -- they teach us about boundaries in the best way!

🐱I’ve cared for cats, dogs, and chickens who have cared for me in innumerable ways. I am always learning how to be more receptive to animals who feel stress and anxiety when their people are away. Each animal has a unique personality that need both a soothing presence and bursts of fun and physical activity...

🐈‍⬛I know that each cat is different and that cats communicate through body language. I know that behavioral issues usually stem from communication breakdowns and I strive to understand.

💛I believe in respecting others with loving kindness at all times and that extends to their property. You can know that I will respect your privacy and property and that I value integrity and kindness above all.

🚎I live in Seattle and take public transport and walk to appointments. I currently service Capitol Hill. I may not be able to serve your area during busy times of the year.

📍IF YOUR ZIP CODE IS 98112, please see my service map in my photo gallery, I may not be able to reach your home if you are outside of Capitol Hill or outside my radius.

✈️Booking Info: Please take into consideration your travel plans for leaving and arriving home on the first and last days of your booking and request timed visits accordingly.

⏰Please also include if you have special feeding times to incorporate into the booking in your opening message.

🏡For first-time bookings, I perform meet and greets with clients via video chat. Meet and greets include a tour of the routine I will be performing during my visits and your home, and hopefully a meeting with your cat!

ℹ️I require a full profile that includes a picture of your cat(s), a highlight on their personality, and care instructions. This allows me to make sure that I can provide the best care possible for your loved one. Please message me with any questions on how to provide this information. I'd also recommend looking at the Vet Release form and filling it out if desired.

🫧I require clients to have disinfectant hand soap in every bathroom. I ask that common surfaces including counters are cleaned before my arrival and that homes have easily accessible/labeled multipurpose cleaning solutions for hard surfaces and upholstery (for hairballs) and hand brooms or vacuums for cleaning up spills. Please note, that I will ask about these items and request a tour of your home before continuing any booking.

🌃For overnight visits, I require clients to have all of the above items as well as freshly laundered linens in my sleeping area. I commit to at least 12 hours of on-site care for overnight stays.

✨Due to COVID, I practice social distancing and wear a mask when in indoor public spaces. I am fully vaccinated as of May 23, 2021 with multiple boosters as of October 2025. Please feel free to communicate your safety precautions and I will do my very best to make this a safe experience for all!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been a Professional Meowtel Sitter since 2021 and I've completed almost 300 bookings since! I’ve lived with cats most of my life.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love earning a cat’s trust over time. I love studying how a cat shows its curiosity and over time seeing ways that their personalities blossom. My most rewarding experiences have been with shy and timid cats who “don’t like anyone”. Earning the friendship of a new cat by respecting them, paying close attention to body language, and being 100% consistent every time is such a precious experience for me.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I recommend that you fill out your care profile carefully and review it often and between sittings! The most important thing for me is that I can evaluate whether I am a good fit for you and your cat. Having detailed notes about your cat's personality and behavior helps. Does your cat exhibit any stress behaviors when you've gone away before? Preparation is key to avoiding triggering behavior and helping your cat be happy when you arrive home. Try to time how long feeding and litter box cleaning may take! Evaluate how long of an appointment you will need from there and include time for me t

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

After evaluating your profile (the care instructions, personality notes, and Vet Form) I will schedule a 15 minute virtual meet and greet so I can take detailed notes as we tour your place and we walk through the routine! Afterwards, we might include an in-person meet and greet and key exchange. I text a new cat parent immediately the first time I arrive at your place so you know I've arrived without complication. From there, I send many videos and photos of each visit with details about the cat's health, habits, our interactions, our play, and how the visit went.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I guarantee I will not leave without setting my eyes on your cat every single visit. I will note its poop and pee levels and quality, and how much it is eating; there are many important clues for a cat’s health! Even cats who are prolific hiders, I will get on my hands and knees and confirm the cat is safe even if they are guarded. Every visit I take a photo of me locking doors after I leave to guarantee a secure home; I do not answer doors to strangers and I do not invite others into your home under any circumstances. I am mindful to not reveal to neighbors that you are away from home and I

Are you usually available during holidays?

I can get booked early, feel free to send me a message if my schedule looks full, I often make accommodations!

What is your favorite cat toy?

Feathers and wand toys are my favorite toys. Some cats love when toys scurry and hide like woodland critters; some cats love with feather wands fly like birds. I will find a way to learn how your cats love to feel like the mighty lions and jaguars and tigers they are!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I will quietly enter your home and let your cats approach me first. I let my scent enter the home and greet the cats with a soft greeting and minimal eye contact and gentle movements. I will visit at the same time each visit if possible to help your cat know my routine and feel more secure; I pay attention to cat tails and body language for signs of stress. I expect cats to be anxious and I never ever blame a cat for reacting suddenly with swats or hisses -- this is all important communication and I adapt! I aim to minimize stress behaviors. I am comfortable sitting and talking to a cat for

Cookie always takes excellent care of my senior cat, Krampus! This last time, he wasn’t doing so well, and she sent extra updates, suggested extra visits, and altogether provided him with great care while I was away.

We have used Cookie on multiple trips at this point and we love her. She introduced our cats to their new favorite toy (Peacock Feathers) and is very much a cat person. Cookie is very communicative and provides great updates. She handled medicating one of our cats really well. and reached out after one of ours passed. She provided extra cuddles and care while our family grieves. Overall she is a fantastic cat sitter and we will be using her in the future.

Cookie was exceptional, as always! She was able to get our cats playing with each other more than even we can, and she never missed their feeding or medication schedules. We are very excited to book her again in the future!

I cannot recommend Cookie highly enough! She went above and beyond caring for our two fur babies over the weekend. Unfortunately, our older kitty, who is on medication, got sick a few times. Still, she handled everything carefully and patiently, cleaning up without complaint. When our flight was significantly delayed and I had to ask her to come back for an unexpected additional visit, she was incredibly accommodating and understanding. This made our travel dilemmas a lot less stressful. What impressed me most was her gentle approach with our extremely shy kitty. She respected his boundaries completely and never forced interaction. By her last day, he actually came out to look at her - which for him is basically a standing ovation! Cookie is clearly experienced with cats of all temperaments and handles routine care and unexpected situations with professionalism and genuine love for animals. Our boys were in the best possible hands, and we'll definitely be booking her again. Thank you for such wonderful care! 💐

Cookie is amazing! We don't leave our kitties with anyone else now. The babies were so well-adjusted when we returned home, I don't think they even missed us, lol. And the videos and pictures we get while away reassure us that they are both doing well. Even administering meds is not an issue. Cookie is by far and away the best cat sitter we've had!

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Seattle cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
