Hello! My name is Teri and my love of cats has been a constant for most of my life! Currently, I proudly belong to my four permanent cats- Pekoe (10) Badger (5), Pumpkin (2) and Tayto (>1yr). My Soul Cats, Sam and Yumi, passed away at age 20 in 2020 and age 19 in 2025 respectively. Sam was my Y2Kitty and Yumi was my Grandma Sassy Panther. I miss them and think about them daily. I also foster cats and kittens for local rescue- Homeward Bound WV... Hello! My name is Teri and my love of cats has been a constant for most of my life! I have fostered cats between 6 weeks and five years of age and they all have come to me with illnesses that have needed treatment and some have needed human trust development. I am patient and persistent in dealing with cats who aren’t super social. I also TNR community kitties to help control Morgantown’s feral cat population. I am comfortable giving all types of medication including inhalers, subcutaneous fluids and injections. I also understand the importance of prescription diets when needed as two my own kitties are on prescription diets. I know that it can be difficult on you and your cat when you are away, but I will do my best to become their pal until you come home!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I just love hanging out with cats. They are my favorite thing in this world. I also love sending pictures to my clients so they know their fur children are safe, well and cared for.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I belong to four perma-kitties- Pekoe (10 years old), Badger (5 years old), Pumpkin (2 years old) and Tayto (kitten). My sweet Yumi passed away in December 2025.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Only hire a sitter that gives you and your cat(s) good vibes when you do a meet and greet. Sitters should ask questions and listen to you intently on instructions. I’m a note taker, so I will take notes when I do a meet and greet.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

When I first meet new cat parents, I tell them a bit about myself and my experience with my own cats and fostering. I take notes and ask questions throughout the walk through. I also give cat parents plenty of time to ask questions of me. Last, but not least, I take time to hang out and talk with their kitties! :)

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

With timid and anxious cats, I am incredibly patient. I have had fosters that I have worked on for weeks or even months before gaining their trust. As such, I understand that every cat has a unique personality and I adapt my approach as necessary to keep them comfortable and confident. If they are not comfortable coming out while I am there, I will not force them unless it is an emergency situation. I always let cats come to me and I speak in a calm manner to them and give them lots of slow blinks. I will always ensure that I can get a visual on every cat in the household before I leave, but I will never force an interaction outside of an emergency.

Teri is the absolute best kitty sitter! My boys were so well taken care of, I don’t even think they noticed I was gone! She spent time playing their favorite games, and made sure they had everything they needed and that I had lots of pictures and videos of them! 10/10 couldn’t recommend her more for your next trip!

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
