Cat Sitting in Scottsdale, AZ

Hi! I’m Liz and I absolutely love cats and enjoy getting to know each cat’s unique personality and needs. 😊 I have been catsitting for friends and family, as well as professionally, for over 10 years. I have experience with cats of all kinds, including senior cats, shy cats, multiple cat households, and cats that require medication. I am also Cat and Dog First Aid certified through the American Red Cross.

For me, cat sitting is a joy but also a responsibility that I take very seriously. I don’t currently have a cat of my own, so cat sitting is a wonderful way for me to spend time with cats and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each one. I’ve been lucky to meet some really wonderful cats and humans through Meowtel...

For me, cat sitting is a joy but also a responsibility that I take very seriously. I don’t currently have a cat of my own, so cat sitting is a wonderful way for me to spend time with cats and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each one. I’ve been lucky to meet some really wonderful cats and humans through Meowtel. 😊

I deeply care about the wellbeing of each cat in my care, and make sure that they feel safe and loved. I am very attentive and responsible, ensuring that I closely follow any directions and pay attention to the health of your cat. I always provide detailed updates and share photos after each visit. To make your experience as stress-free as possible, I’m happy to tailor my updates to your preference, and can provide lots of details and photos or just a quick summary so that you know your cat is doing well.

I take pride in leaving people with happy cats and a clean home. I also am a huge plant person and can care for your indoor or outdoor plants while you’re away.

I do work full time but my hours are fairly flexible and I am usually available on weekday mornings before 9am, around lunchtime, and evenings after 5pm. Weekends I am usually very flexible. I am also available most holidays. I still have availability for this Thanksgiving season.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions about my services. I hope to meet your cat(s) soon! 😊

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting for over 10 years for friends and family, as well as professionally. I have done everything from a daily check-in to being a live-in cat sitter for an elderly cat for 3 months. I’m very comfortable with cats that have all different personalities, needs, and health issues. I have worked with cats that are shy, cats that require medication, cats that have anxiety-related issues, and I feel comfortable getting to know the needs of each cat and paying attention to behavioral cues. I have also worked with cat owners who have more than one cat, so I’m very comfortable managing multiple cats at once and making sure that they each get plenty of attention and that their unique needs are met.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

When I was living in Massachusetts, I was a cat sitter for an 18 year old cat named Pepper for two winters. She was a shy cat so she took a little time to warm up but eventually I could rarely sit down without her curling up in my lap. She was such a special cat and still has a place in my heart.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I don’t have a kitty myself, but my parents have a cat in Michigan and she is one of the best parts of going home to visit them. Her name is Mabel and she is an angel. When I go home to visit, she immediately wants to go to my room and flops on my yoga mat. Since I don’t have cats myself, I really look forward to cat sitting because I miss being around them!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I always schedule a meet & greet and try to be as accommodating and flexible as possible with your schedule. During the meet & greet, I take notes on food, water, litter, toys, medication, behavior, keys, and any other important information. I make sure to check if there’s anything else I should know about your cats or care of your home. I want to make sure that you feel ascomfortable as possible with your cats in my care, so I make sure that I am familiar with all of your needs. I also like to check in about communication preferences. I send detailed check-ins and photos after each visit, but I am happy to adjust based on what would make your experience as stress-free as possible.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I am extremely diligent about making sure that the home is safe for cats before I leave. When I arrive for a visit, I typically do a quick check of the space to see if the cats have gotten into anything, had any accidents, or gotten sick. During my visit, I pay attention to what the litter looks like, how much the cat has been eating and drinking, and other behavioral cues to make sure they’re doing ok. Before I leave, I make sure that nothing is left out that cats could get into and that all doors are properly closed and locked.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am available during most holidays! My dates for Thanksgiving are still open but filling quickly, so please book ahead as soon as you can. 😊

Frequently Asked Questions

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Scottsdale cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
