I am a proud cat mom! My pride and joy being my 19 year old cat, Cheetah, who I got when I was just 6 years old. She has been my absolute best friend ever since. Since she is an older cat, she can require special care that I am more than happy to provide for. Whether that is medically or comfortability, I know how important it is to pay attention to each cat's individual needs... As someone who finds any opportunity to be around cats, working as a cat sitter part-time is purrfect for me! I used to volunteer at an animal shelter (Lilly's Haven in Yorba Linda) for a year and a half and in the past have fostered a litter of new-born kittens. I also have previously been a cat sitter for various friends and family members multiple times (and now have been on Meowtel for over a year!)

As a pet lover myself, I know how stressful it can be putting your fur baby in someone else's hands. With every reservation, I will send clients daily, thorough updates and several photos/videos of your furry friends and how they are doing to help make you more comfortable about being away! (Also included will be photo proof of daily litter box cleaning and food and water being changed and re-filled). Know that I will treat your pets as my own and will tend to each cat's unique personality!
I am a very sanitary person and upon request am more than happy to accommodate any personal preferences such as: wearing a mask and sanitizing surfaces that I come in contact with at the end of our reservation!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I used to cat sit for friends and family a few years ago, since everyone in my life has always known I am a big cat lover! I’ve even volunteered at a shelter for over a year and fostered a litter of kittens before. I’ve been with Meowtel now as well for over a year! With having cats of my own my whole life of all ages, working in shelters, and fostering cats, I’ve had lots of experience with all different types of cat personalities! I have loved cats since I was a kid, and I continue to love cats (and cat sitting) even more as I get to experience new ways to interact and help cats and cat owners!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Aside from meeting a bunch of wonderful cats, what I enjoy most about cat sitting is making the people I cat-sit for feel comfortable being away from their home and fur babies. My favorite compliment is hearing that I made my client’s anxiety of leaving disappear after a day of kitty photos and thorough communication. Nothing better than enjoying your get away and knowing your pet is in good hands! :)
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
One of my favorite cat sitting reservations was with a certain client with two cats, who are both very timid! Starting the reservation, I hardly ever saw them not under a couch or bed. Over time, they slowly got curious. I loved seeing both of the cats get comfortable with me over time. My favorite part was being able to send my client videos of them both purring, following me around, and rubbing on my legs by the end of the reservation.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 3 cats! I have an 18 year old cat that I’ve had since I was just 6 years old, Cheetah. She has been my best friend for so long and I am so blessed to have her! I recently got Cheetah a sister, Alani, who is only a few months old! Lastly, we have Hazel, who is my boyfriend’s cat that I also love and look after since he’s away at work most days! :)
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Read the cat sitter’s profile thoroughly and don’t be afraid to reach out to cat sitters and ask questions! Our job is to make you feel as comfortable as possible. After all, we are taking care of someone very very special while you are away! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to multiple cat sitters to find the best fit for you and your kitties! :)
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Having cats my whole life (and being hyper aware of making sure my home is securely locked before I leave), I have no doubt in my mind that your kitty and your home will be safe in my hands while you are away! I am always on the look out to make sure there is nothing hazardous on the floor the cat(s) can get into while you’re away, or something they could potentially choke on or get stuck in—even something as simple as cat toys with string. Lastly, I double check all doors are locked before leaving each visit. Even doors I don’t go through: such as doors to the backyard!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have had a lot of experience with timid/anxious cats, especially since working with Meowtel! My process is simple: let them come to me! I know how scary it can be to have someone you don’t know hovering over you and trying to drag you out of your comfort zone. What I like to do is sit on the floor, silent and still, and let them come out on their own. If they do come out, I don’t move, I just let them come up to me and get used to my scent. It might take a day or two, but I’ve always gotten cats to become comfortable with me over time! Patience is key!

I have two cats both under the age of two one is very shy as we found her alone and roaming the streets at 5 weeks. I had a scheduled two week vacation and had never even used or even heard of meow. My uncle was supposed to watch my cats, but got sick. A friend referred me to meow where I found Sara’s profile and made my reservation and request. Sara accepted and we scheduled the free introduction/meet and greet which I felt went fantastically. Loki took to Sara immediately, Misty, the shy one took a little bit more time but by the time Sara left our meet and greet Misty was hanging out and if I remember correctly, even let Sara pet her. it’s hard to find someone to watch your animals when you’re away, but this is the first time I was leaving them and it was for a full two weeks, Sara put me completely at ease communicated during every visit shared good information lots of pictures and kept me up-to-date on everything that was going on. It was a fantastic experience and I would easily do it again without a thought. My cats were so well taken care of I couldn’t have asked for.

Sara was amazing Alexa this was our first trip leaving our Covid kitties at home. One of our kitties it only had one other person they were friendly with our entire circle of friends. Sarah was able to have that kitty purr and absolutely love her. She left detailed messages with wonderful photos and videos during every visit. Words can’t describe how thankful I am to have had Sara as a cat sitter. This was my first vacation in almost 3 years and without anyone in my circle that is experienced with cats, I was a little worried but took a chance with Meowtel and with Sara. She went above and beyond what I expected from starting Meowtel. She sent detailed updates every visit and several photos and videos of my cat. Gave me photos of the litter box being cleaned, water bowl filled and playing with my cat! Followed every instruction I gave regarding his care and made me feel VERY comfortable with having her in my home. My cat can be aggressive at times when petted too much and when not getting enough attention, but Sara assured me she understood from experience and would watch out for it. By the second day I wasn’t even worried anymore because she was so thorough in providing updates and I could tell how much my cat was enjoying her presence despite his and mine separation anxiety. Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Chino Hills cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $32.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

Working with Sara was fantastic! From our initial meet & greet and throughout her sitter duties she was professional, communicative, and thorough. Sara didn’t get to meet my 5 yr old tuxedo sisters at the meet and greet because they ran and hid in their secret places. Typical behavior whenever anyone comes into my home. During her pet sitting assignment, Sara was able to encourage one cat to seek her out for head rubs and eventually had both cats playing with her.
