I’ve always felt a special kinship and connection with cats. My current kitty has been my baby the past 2 years now, but even the stray cats in my neighborhood know they have a friend in me. I’m a patient and caring individual when it comes to cats, and even the most stubborn kitty won’t damper my love.
My schedule is very open and flexible. Most of my days are free, including weekends, from the mornings to the evenings! Currently, I am on the hunt for a part time job, so I have plenty of time and attention to dedicate to your beloved pet. I’m always willing and open to talk about scheduling, and working around your own schedule won’t be an issue for me... Hello! I prefer to keep my clients close, about a 30 minute distance from my area, but never be afraid to inquire.
All the cats I’ve ever had growing up are all ones I’ve helped raise up from when they were babies, so I’ve dealt with all kinds of personalities. From an energetic kitty to a sleepy and slow adult, I’m not afraid to get to know your cat’s personality at their own rate. I also understand that cats aren’t fond of newness and change, so I will never force a bond when getting to know a new cat to prove that I’m a worthy sitter. It’s important to me that the kitty feels safe and comfortable with me, and understands I’m there to help, not to harm!
During my sessions, you can expect the following:
- Feedings
- Freshening litter
- Freshening water
- Playing with the cat
- Keeping the cat company (especially in the case of shy kitties who prefer to watch me from afar)
- As many phone, text, and video updates as you’d like, in addition to the ones I’ll be sending over myself

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Getting to know new kitties is the best part. When I visit my friends and I know they have pets, the first request out of my mouth is always if I can meet their animals.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Everyone in my life will tell you I blabber on and on about my beloved cat, Andy. I adopted him when he was just 8 weeks old, and as far as I’m concerned, I’m his mother. We have a very close bond. I’ll always be grateful for my reason to get out of bed in the morning.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I’ve befriended many of the stray cats in my neighborhood, and they all started out rather skittish. First and foremost, I always let them come to me. That’s the golden rule; let them stalk you for a bit. While I wait for them to come to me, though, I’ll do things to make them understand I’m not a threat. I won’t tower over them, or randomly approach, or be noisy. I’ll get down to their level, talk in a quiet tone, offer treats if they’re curious, make sure they see me putting out food for them, and give them space.

Everything went fine with the registration process this time. Last time, after the cat sitter and I had come to an agreement, she cancelled the night before my trip, and I had to postpone it for two weeks. She claimed that she never officially accepted the reservation but still didn't let me know until the night before I left. So, that was confusing. Winter was much better about keeping my informed throughout the process and kept to her word. There's a lot of places to leave detailed information about you, your cat, and the kind of care she/he needs. Overall, I like the site and love the service. I was especially pleased that I could book an overnight sitter as my cat gets very lonely and has a complicated feeding schedule.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Long Beach cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $33.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
