As a cat mom of three cats with kidney issues, I have experience with my own cats administering medications as well as sub-q fluids. If you give your kitty sub-q fluids, I know how stressful it is when you need to be away from home... I love cats! I also really appreciate the freedom of having someone reliable to take care of my cats when I leave town and I would like to provide that same freedom to other cat moms and dads.
As a cat mom of three cats with kidney issues, I have experience with my own cats administering medications as well as sub-q fluids. If you give your kitty sub-q fluids, I know how stressful it is when you need to be away from home. My first cat was diagnosed with Kidney issues when he was 15, I spent the next almost three years giving him fluids. Just recently both my current cats have started to be in need. It is a challenge early on, but with some treats, some loves, and some patience - they are getting used to it.
Outside of taking care of my furry little trouble makers I am also a local teacher - my students always laugh when I want to see pictures of their animals more than of their prom dress or whatever else they want to show me!
During the school year, I am readily available in the evenings to visit your fur babies. During the summer my schedule is pretty flexible!

I love making new furry friends! I also am happy to give people the peace of mind that their fur-babies are being taken care of when they are away.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
My Elwood is 18 years old!! My husband and I have had him since he was a kitten (literally... couldn't even see yet. He had been abandoned by his mom in our barn) Mr. Cab Calloway is only about two years old. He came into our lives last summer when he was left in a box outside of the Petco in Mira Mesa. He spend some time with a local rescue before he joined our family. After a very scary first few months, he has started becoming more friendly and affectionate. At night - he runs around the house like a bat out of hell! They are both sweet boys and we love them so much
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Hire someone who is excited to meet your animals! Someone who you feel comfortable and confident take good care of them

I needed someone last minute to check on my fur baby, Oliver, while I was out of town for a long weekend. Elizabeth was great! She charmed him out of his hiding spot and gave him lots of head rubs and scritches. She even sent a short video so I could hear his purr! Her messages were detailed and informative, so I didn't have to worry about whether Oliver was okay. I would definitely recommend Elizabeth to other cat parents!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

San Diego cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
