Hi, I'm Stacy and I'm very excited to start on my cat sitting adventure with you and your feline friends. I have had cats all my life. I've fostered and raised kittens as well as cared for elderly cats with various health conditions. I live in Carmel Valley and my family and I share our lives with two cats , three dogs and a horse named Magnum, each of them rescued from local non profit shelters. What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been cat sitting for friends, neighbors and family members for many decades and I’ve been with Meowtel since 2020

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy getting to know the many various purrsonalites of each cat I meet. I enjoy the challenge of finding the sweet spot of connection so that cat feels safe and loved even though his person is not around

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

Honestly every cat sitting reservation I’ve had has a favorite element to it. I’m just very happy to be spending time with each of them

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

At the moment I have two kitties 🐈‍⬛ of my own. I have a Siamese named Jinx and a Bombay named Jasper. They were at the same shelter together

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

My best advice would be to meet the potential sitter and observe how they interact with your kitties that first meeting. Watch how the kitties respond. Animals have a sense of people

What is your favorite cat toy?

My favorite go to cat toy is definitely the laser. I can usually get a reaction from most cats with the little 🔴 and I bring my own laser with me on my visits

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Slow and steady attention. The cat dictates the direction the visit is going to go in and how they comfortable they sre interacting with me. My whole purpose is to keep them fed, healthy, comfortable and safe.

Stacy was great with my 2 cats. She has a ton of experience and knows how to read different cat personalities. One of my cats, Nala, does not do well with new people (most people really) when Stacy met Nala she met her with a calm tone, read her body language and knew when it was time to respect her boundaries. Everything went well while we were away. I would definately use Stacy again.

Stacy was an *outstanding* sitter for us, definitely a five star experience. It was evident from our meet & greet with her that Stacy was very experienced and compassionate with our four cats, knew her way around feeding and litter box duties, and would be a pro at taking care of our precious pets. Plus, she excelled at the all-important picture taking to make sure we were happy and got to see that our cats were doing well. Stacy also did the “extra” things like bringing in mail and packages, playing with our cats, and keeping in touch with us on text so we were secure that all was well. And, since we were gone for four full days we really appreciated Stacy keeping us up to date on *everything*! In summary, Stacy is an outstanding cat sitter that we (and our cats!) highly recommend and will ask for again.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
