I’ve been cat sitting for families for over 10 years and have also fostered cats and kittens through the San Diego Humane Society, where I completed their official training program. Through fostering and volunteering with local rescues, I’ve cared for cats of all ages and personalities, and learned how to safely administer oral and topical medications when needed.
I know every cat is different, so I always take things slow and let them set the pace. I speak softly, move calmly, and use patience, play, and positive reinforcement to build trust and help them feel comfortable. What I love most is getting to know each cat’s unique quirks, whether it’s their favorite nap spot, the toy they go crazy for, or their funny little routines. I’m reliable, attentive, and will treat your cat like my own while keeping you updated every step of the way!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
When I work with a new cat parent, I like to start with clear communication and learning all about their cat’s routine, quirks, and needs. I ask about feeding schedules, favorite toys, hiding spots, and any special care instructions. Having fostered with the San Diego Humane Society and volunteered with rescues, I know how important consistency is for cats, so I follow instructions closely and keep everything as familiar as possible. I also send photo updates so parents feel reassured while they’re away. My goal is to make the transition smooth, stress-free, and comfortable for both cats and their families.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Safety is always my top priority. I make sure doors and windows are secure, food and water are fresh, and litter areas are kept clean. From my experience fostering and volunteering, I’ve learned to pay close attention to a cat’s behavior and health so I can notice if something seems off. I also treat every home with respect, double-check locks, and follow all owner instructions carefully. Families can feel confident knowing their cats are safe, their home is secure, and they’ll receive regular updates for peace of mind.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I’ve cared for many shy or anxious cats through both pet sitting and fostering with the Humane Society, so I understand the importance of patience and trust-building. I always move slowly, speak softly, and give them space to approach me when they’re ready. Sometimes I’ll just sit quietly nearby so they can get comfortable with my presence. I use positive reinforcement like treats, play, and consistency to help them feel secure. Over time, even the most timid cats usually warm up once they realize I respect their boundaries and want them to feel safe.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
