I care for cats the way I'd want someone to care for mine, which means showing up wanting to know everything: their quirks, their weird preferences, and the rituals and routines that feel crazy to explain out loud... Five years ago I met the love of my life…and also my partner, Zach. He'd had our cat Lyra for two years before I came along, and within months she'd claimed me as her person (we have a pet psychic reading to confirm this). I will never not have a cat again.
I care for cats the way I'd want someone to care for mine, which means showing up wanting to know everything: their quirks, their weird preferences, and the rituals and routines that feel crazy to explain out loud. Anyone who watches Lyra gets a 12-slide care deck, so consider this a safe space: let it rip.
Since moving to SF two and a half years ago, I've become the go-to sitter for a handful of friends with cats of wildly different personalities. Spicy cats, shy cats, medicated cats…I've handled it.
I work in product marketing in tech, but I'm currently taking some intentional time between roles to recharge, which means my schedule is unusually flexible (hence finally joining Meowtel)! When I’m not caring for cats, you'll find me cycling around the Bay in search of the best cafes.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
As a cat parent myself, I know how much it matters to have someone care for your cat the way you would. For the cat's wellbeing and your own peace of mind while you're away. Getting to offer that to others is what this is all about for me.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Before you leave, I like to do a proper meet-and-greet with you present so I'm a familiar face when I show up solo. I'll come with plenty of questions and take notes on everything: schedule, quirks, hiding spots, health considerations. My hand-odds are thorough & never rushed.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Timid, anxious cats are my forté. I have one at home, so I know that patience and consistency are they key. I do everything I can to stick to their usual routine, I move slowly, and I let them come to me when they're ready!

We honestly could not rate Morgan high enough. If we could... We'd be giving her a 10 out of 5 score. From the get-go, Morgan was super friendly, easy going and really put us both at ease. She asked really good questions (stuff we hadn't thought of) and we knew we had the right person to look after our cat whilst we went to Europe, especially as he had health conditions needing medication. From the beginning I could tell that Morgan was super conscientious, an obvious cat lover, loves what she does and is really good at it. She sent us really detailed and loving updates. As it turned out... Morgan then had to deal with the worst-case scenario ever, with our cat becoming acutely unwell whilst we were away (!). She was absolutely amazing. She literally dropped everything when we called her to see if she could help. She even took our cat to the vet and did everything she could as if it were her own cat. We will never ever forget this, and we will definitely be using her again (if she'll have us!). THANK YOU, Morgan. From the bottom of our hearts.

I had some unexpected travel come up at the last minute, and Morgan was incredibly easy to schedule on short notice. One of my kitties was also dealing with a squinty eye (nothing serious, based on an urgent care visit before my departure), and Morgan monitored her closely at my request—even though she can be a bit of a spicy kitty! Morgan sent me detailed updates on both cats, including their food, water, litter box habits, and playtime. She was also very consistent and prompt with the timing of her visits, which I really appreciated. I’m very grateful for the care she gave my kitties and am looking forward to working with her again!

Morgan was wonderful with our two cats, Cleo and Biscuit! She was incredibly caring, communicative, and sent thoughtful updates, photos, and videos throughout our trip. Cleo loved her right away, and even our very shy Biscuit gradually warmed up to her, which says a lot about how patient and gentle she is. She also went above and beyond to make sure they had plenty of attention and playtime, while keeping everything clean and taken care of. We felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands and came home to two happy, well-cared-for cats. It was clear she genuinely cared about both of them, which meant a lot to us. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

San Francisco cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $40.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
