Any time I meet a new cat I always let them introduce themselves to me in their own time rather than forcing an interaction... Hi my name is Grey! My pronouns are they/them. My cats are honestly the best thing that's ever happened to me. They are so sweet and loving. Their love is unconditional. My favorite part about being around cats is seeing how they think and understanding their body language. I appreciate cats for having their own boundaries and knowing what they like or dislike.
Any time I meet a new cat I always let them introduce themselves to me in their own time rather than forcing an interaction. Cats are allowed to be independent! I would love to take care of your cats while you're gone so that they continue to be loved and comfortable as possible even when their owners aren't there. I will be sure to take plenty of photos of them too because I know how much us cat parents miss our cats while we are away.
Forming a connection with a cat for the first time is one of the best feelings. I like making animals feel safe around me and letting them know that I can be trusted. Additionally, I have been a foster cat parent for almost a year now and love meeting new fosters. It's always exciting to be a part of the journey to their forever home.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I honestly love figuring out what a cat's favorite toy is, being able to see how they play and earning their trust.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 2 cats, Peach and Luigi. Peach is an orange tabby cat and Luigi is a black and white cow cat.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Just to make sure you are comfortable with the person looking after your cat(s) and home while you're gone :)
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes I'm usually available during the holidays, please reach out to me to double check at least a week in advance.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I like the string toys or the little puff ball type toys, both my cats are ecstatic about the tiny toys that they can smack around. It's so funny to watch!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I give them plenty of time and space to get to know me. They need to see my mannerisms or routine before trusting me and that's okay!

Grey was wonderful with our 2 cats - one of which is particularly shy, but they got him to come out and see the light of day! (he usually hides underneath the covers when strangers are there). They even watered our garden while we were away, which was massively helpful! Overall Grey did a great job and I would certainly hire them again!

Grey did a great job with my boys and the very timid one came out to play with them. They followed instructions for feeding and enrichment, hid treats around, and even took out the trash with all the cat poo. I appreciated them also watering some plants to keep em thriving in my absence. I would recommend Grey for cat (and plant) sitting!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Aurora cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
