I work from home most of the time, which means I’m flexible for last-minute visits and available during holidays. After every visit, you’ll receive photos, videos, and detailed updates so you can see exactly how your babies are doing... I know how stressful it can be to leave your pets in someone else’s care. I have three cats of my own, so I’ve been there. My goal is to make sure your cats are safe, happy, and well-loved while you’re away so you can relax with peace of mind.

One of my favorite parts of cat sitting is getting to know each cat’s unique personality. I always follow their lead, whether they’re in the mood to play, want some cuddles, or prefer to just relax in their own space.
For homes within 5 miles of me, I’m happy to stop by for key, fob, or door code pickup outside of a meet and greet if needed at no extra charge. For locations farther away, I schedule this as an additional visit.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been around cats since I was little. I started pet sitting (and babysitting) when I was 12. With three cats of my own and three younger siblings, taking care of others has always been second nature to me.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy figuring out what they like best, whether it's specific toys or hiding spots. It’s also really rewarding to win over a cat who starts out a little wary of me. But most of all, I love getting to meet so many interesting kitties!
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
It’s hard to pick a favorite, but one of my very first reservations was for a kitten who was quite shy and very unsure of me. Her curiosity got the best of her, though, and by the end of the visit she was curled up on a chair right by my head, purring her little heart out. 💗
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have three! Luna is 11, a tuxedo who loves finding new hiding spots. She’s an unapologetically picky eater who refuses anything other than catnip and dry kibble. Rufus is 7 and my only boy. He’s a 17-pound orange tabby who loves playing in the snow, cardboard boxes, and lounging in his window perch. Jynx is a 6-year-old orange tabby. She’s the smallest (only 6 lbs) but easily the most mischievous. Her favorite thing ever is playing fetch with these sparkly, mini pom-poms and, of course, taunting her siblings.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I always recommend meeting them in person. I also suggest signing a Vet Release Form ahead of time, so that if anything unexpected comes up, your cat will be taken to a vet you know and trust.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I always start with a meet-and-greet. It gives me a chance to get to know your pets, learn their routine, and make sure we’re a good fit before the booking.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I treat your home with the same respect I treat my own. I always double-check that doors are locked and everything is secure before I head out. I also stick to your cat’s routine so they feel safe and comfortable while you're gone.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am available during holidays! I make sure to keep my schedule updated so you’ll always know exactly when I’m free.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Catnip toys. They’re simple, but cats love them. Either that or a classic wand toy. Usually my favorite toy is the one they actually like to play with!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I take a slow, gentle approach with anxious kitties. I give them plenty of space and let them come to me on their own terms. I usually just hang out nearby to keep them company so they know they’re safe, without feeling pressured to interact.

Tehani was wonderful! She was prompt every day and sent photos of the cats, cleaned litter, and food bowls. I had never left my cats alone for this long and having Tehani check in on them everyday made it possible for me to relax and not stress about them during my vacation. She was patient with my shy cats and still got photos to send while they were hiding under my furniture. I came home to two happy and healthy kitties!

Tehani was very attentive towards my babies and she came at the times that I requested and made sure the water dishes and food dishes were full. Tehani also texted me pictures if them eating and also of the food and water that they were eating. I will request her services again when we go on any other vacations. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Aurora cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Tehani was fantastic—reliable, punctual, and attentive to everything I asked of her. There was a stressful moment when my kitty went missing, and although I was understandably upset, Tehani remained calm, compassionate, and determined. She searched thoroughly and thankfully found her, all while being incredibly kind and supportive.
