What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
With years of cat-sitting experience and almost two years as a full-time Meowtel sitter, I’ve cared for a wide range of cats and personalities. Whether it’s family, friends, or new clients, I’ve had nothing but great experiences, and I feel genuinely at home in this work.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Becoming friends with new cats! and connecting with their wonderful owners. I love supporting families by being there for their pets when they need it most. Along the way, I’ve met so many fun and quirky feline personalities. One of the most satisfying aspects of cat-sitting is slowly, or quickly, becoming besties with your cat!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two wonderful cats. Oliver came first, my sweet orange boy with an ever-growing list of nicknames: Oliver Poppins, Ryan Seacrest, Oli Boi, Orange Fuzzy Butt, the list goes on 🤣 He’s four years old and a total mama’s boy. He is notoriously shy and can be spicy with new people, but once he warms up, he’s the most affectionate and snuggly little guy. Then there’s Nova, my two-year old fluffy tuxedo princess. She’s bold, curious, and the most well behaved cat I've ever had. An absolute pleasure to be around. She can be friends with anyone, loves gentle nose rubs, and settling in on a cold day to watch Charlie Brown ♥️
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Your comfort, and your cat’s, is always my top priority. I’m gentle, patient, and more than happy to schedule a meet-and-greet so we can be sure we’re a great fit. I treat every family with kindness and follow all instructions carefully, because my goal is to provide the kind of reliable, thoughtful care that makes me your go-to cat sitter here in Denver.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
When I enter your home for a visit, I begin with meticulously staying alert for any unexpected escape attempts. I'm proud to say I've never had an escapee! 🤓If you have a security system, I’m happy to operate it as instructed. During each visit, your cats will receive gentle, attentive interaction and be met at their comfort level. I approach each and every cat in the same fashion, to appropriately assess their body language and tone- Slowly, and quietly! We will ensure all tasks have been completed, take pictures and videos, with playtime 100% guaranteed and documented!
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am fully available on holidays, that means you and your family can sneak away for a relaxing weekend, and I'll ensure the furry kids are getting their every need tended to!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I consider myself very patient when it comes to earning a new cat’s trust. Since I’m a bit of a giant at 6’2”, I usually sit on the floor and use soft, subtle sounds to show I’m not a threat. I like to offer treats or introduce one of their favorite toys to help them feel more comfortable. I keep my body language relaxed, give them plenty of space, and let them approach me at their own pace. I have a passion for earning trust with my fellow felines!

This was my first booking with Christian, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. From our initial meet-and-greet, he took the time to really listen, asked thoughtful questions, and made a point to respect my cat Haggy's boundaries instead of trying to force an interaction. Haggy is pretty shy around new people, so that immediately gave me confidence that Christian understood how to approach him. Throughout the week, Christian was an exceptional communicator. Every visit came with a detailed update, wonderful photos and videos, and I always knew exactly how Haggy was doing. He followed every instruction perfectly, took great care of my plants, and made it so easy to relax and enjoy my trip knowing everything back home was in good hands. What I didn't expect—and what meant the most to me—was watching Haggy slowly come out of his shell. Christian sent videos of them playing Haggy's favorite stick-and-string game, and by the end of the week Haggy was happily chirping at him, playing, and genuinely enjoying his company. I never would have guessed that my shy cat would build that kind of trust with someone in just a week. Coming home to a happy, comfortable cat instead of one who was simply "looked after" made all the difference. I now know that when I'm away, Haggy won't just have someone meeting his basic needs—he'll have someone who truly cares about him and enjoys spending time with him. One thing that especially stood out to me was that Christian didn't consider the job finished the moment the booking ended. He made sure to confirm that I had made it home safely and that Haggy was back in his normal routine. That extra level of care ended up being invaluable because I missed my flight home and unexpectedly needed another day of care. Christian was able to step right back in, ensuring Haggy had continuous care until I made it home. That level of professionalism, flexibility, and genuine concern gave me tremendous peace of mind. Do not hesitate to trust Christian with your fur babies and home! My husband and I are TypeA DINKs with a spoiled rescue kitty who means the world to us. My husband works from home, so when we travel it rocks our kitty’s world. We had a good cat-sitter in the past who moved and the next one we tried was a disaster. Christian was unphased by our anxiety and detailed instructions at the meet and greet. His communication, pictures and videos during our exceeded expectations. I looked forward to his pictures and videos every day. Our sassy fur ball stayed “hissy” this time, but we could see how hard he tried to connect with her. He even left treats around the house for her to “hunt” throughout the day, something we never thought of. We already have him booked for our international trip in the fall, with an extra “play date” before that trip. Something Christian suggested to let her get used to him again with us still home. He even did some light cleaning and was open fed the fish every day! I’m telling you, Christian is the best!!

We've now had Christian look after our two cats on two different occasions including for over a week over Christmas and we honestly couldn’t be happier with the experience. We appreciated the meet-and-greet that Christian offered before the first visit: from that we thought he would be a great match for us. That instinct was confirmed when we came home from our first trip. There was a definite difference in how our cats behaved compared to past trips when we had friends stop by. Hazel and Opal were just happier! They were clearly well cared for: they had received real attention and companionship, not just food and a quick check-in. Christian was extremely thorough and consistent in following our care instructions, and he provided daily updates with photos, videos, and thoughtful descriptions that gave us real confidence while we were away. He also went above and beyond when an unexpected house issue came up, kindly helping us troubleshoot it. Christian genuinely spends quality time with the cats. It’s clear that he understands cat behavior and individual personalities, and that he truly cares. Making sure our cats feel loved, not just fed, is the most important thing to us, and Christian absolutely delivered on that. We will use Christian for every trip he is available. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Westminster cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
