My family are all big animal lovers. I have continuously had cats since I was seven years old and I absolutely adore them! I am experienced with cats of all ages. Currently I have a 9 year old Maine Coon named Bo. He is my entire life. As such, I am very aware of what it means to leave your cat with a stranger. I very much value reliability. Whether that means cuddles and attention, playing, or giving them space I will make sure to take my cues from your cat to make the visit as stress free for them as possible.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have had cats since I was eight years old, close to 30 years ago. I have cat sat for friends and neighbors on an informal basis. My main experience has been cat sitting my moms cat while she has been away. While I am not a formal cat sitter I have been taking care of cats basically my entire life.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a nine year old Maine Coon named Bo currently. He is the sweetest cuddliest cat you could imagine! Growing up I had always had cats. Currently, one of those childhood cats Frida still lives with my mom on the North Shore of Massachusetts. She definitely values her personal space. As such, I am practiced at different cat personalities.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
As someone who has used a cat sitter for my cat in the past I would suggest looking for someone who is communicative. I know for me when leaving my cat the regular communication from the sitter helped to relieve my anxiety.

We called Leigh in last minute when our usual cat sitter had a death in the family. She did great, and sent us updates with pictures each visit. She understood our shy kitty, and checked in on her without making her nervous (kitty is VERY skittish). Leigh also brought in packages, and took out our trash/recycling. Our kitties were in good hands!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Belmont cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
