I’m Ashley, and caring for cats has always come naturally to me. I understand that every cat has their own personality, boundaries, routines, and comfort level, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know them on their terms.
I have hands-on experience caring for cats in the home and know how important it is to keep their environment calm, clean, and consistent while their people are away. Whether your cat is social and playful, shy and cautious, or more of a “please admire me from across the room” type, I’m happy to meet them where they are.
During visits, I like to make sure the essentials are handled first: fresh food and water, litter box cleaning, a quick wellness check, and making sure everything looks normal and safe. From there, I tailor the visit to your cat’s personality and needs. That might mean playtime, brushing, treats, cuddles, or simply quiet companionship.
I’m very attentive to behavior and body language, so I notice the little things, like changes in appetite, mood, energy, or litter box habits. I know how much peace of mind matters when you’re away, so I also believe in giving thorough updates and photos so you know your cat is safe, cared for, and loved.
My personality is calm, warm, responsible, and detail-oriented. I take pet care seriously, and I’d love to care for your cat the way I’d want someone to care for mine.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two cats, Apollo and Artemis, and like most cat people know, they definitely each run things in their own way. Caring for them has given me a lot of hands-on experience with cat routines, litter box care, feeding, play, enrichment, and understanding feline body language and boundaries. I know how different every cat can be, and I genuinely enjoy meeting them where they are and helping them feel safe and comfortable.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I’m available for select holidays and know how important it is for pet parents to have dependable, loving care for their cats while they’re away.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I handle timid or anxious cats with a very calm, patient, and respectful approach. I never force interaction and always let the cat set the pace. When I arrive, I try to keep my energy quiet and predictable so I’m not overwhelming them. I make sure their essentials are taken care of first, like food, water, and litter, and then I give them space to observe me and get comfortable in their own time. If a cat wants distance, I respect that. If they’re curious, I let them come to me on their terms. I pay close attention to body language and behavior so I can tell when a cat wants engagement versus when they just need calm, low-pressure company. Making a reservation on the app was easy-to-use. My request was responded to and confimed same day. Loved our sitter Ashley! She came twice a day and sent beautiful pictures of our 4 fur babies each time. She went above and beyond to make sure they each got attention and play time. She also watered my outdoor plants and kept the leaves out of the pool. Will definitely be booking Ashley again for our next getaway!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Crofton cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
