I am 23 years old; my pronouns are she/her. I grew up with 4 cats, so I know they have different personalities and needs. While I don’t have any currently, My parents still own animals; I live with 2 dogs. I am an animal lover, but cats are one of my favorites, and I would love to adopt and live with them again. I currently work as a tech at a physical therapy office, however it is part-time because I am also in school. These other responsibilities will not interfere with the care I give your animals, and I will never take on a job where I cannot give 100% to the care of your pets.
I know they are important family members for a lot of different households, so I want to be able to take care of them as best as I possibly can. I will communicate as much as possible and if you’d like videos and photos while you are away, I’d be happy to send you some so you don’t miss your pets as much.
I have a pretty new schedule as of right now, and my schedule changes from semester to semester (as well as during breaks) due to being in a school program. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, I will be unavailable until (at the earliest) 4:30PM. I most likely won’t be available until 5-5:30PM realistically. Thursdays, I will be available from 5AM-8AM; then available again after 5:45PM. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, I’d be able to do any time. I live around the Gambrills area, so I’d be willing to drive anywhere around there within a 25-30 minute time frame.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
When I was younger, I catsit a few times for my mom’s friends. I’ve also been on Meowtel for a while, and I’ve had 6 (technically 7) clients so far who have been satisfied with the level of care I gave their cats.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I do not have any currently, but I used to when I was growing up; I had 4. Their names were Chip, Alex, Bradley, and Skittles.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
When I come into anyone’s home during a visit, I will immediately lock the door behind me and relock it when I leave. I make a point to double-check the door is locked or the garage door is closed before I leave the client’s home. I try to quickly enter and exit any doors because I know some cats are escape artists and will try to leave the home or go into restricted rooms they shouldn’t be in. I also make sure to look for every cat in the house to ensure they aren’t stuck or trapped anywhere unless told otherwise (usually with incredibly shy and scared cats that the owners know I won’t be able to find).
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am available for holidays most of the time, but for the past few years I’ve been away for Christmas every other year.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I am respectful of their boundaries and their emotions. I try not to make sudden movements or sounds that could possibly scare them. I let them approach me in their own time.

Kaylee is an amazing cat sitter! She communicated with us a lot to provide visit run downs, updates, and pictures which brought us joy on our vacation. Our two cats were little trouble makers and broke into the food and Kaylee was kind enough to clean up! She followed directions perfectly and entertained our fur babies and ourselves throughout the babysitting! Kaylee is an amazing catsitter! She provided wonderful updates and pictures and gave a ton of loving to our 2 cats. She noticed a scab/missing fur spot and made sure we were aware. She went above and beyond with meds, brushing and hygiene for our older kitties. They love her so much, we think they are a little sad when we get home because they miss her!

Kaylee is amazing! She has been adaptable in the face of all my little electronic and lock tantrums (aka breakdowns) and has gone above and beyond to make sure my cats are happy and cared for. Though my shyest has yet to take the leap, my other two cats quickly warmed up to her and like to follow her around during her visit. Kaylee always provides plentiful photos, making sure to track down everyone at least once, and very detailed updates. It greatly lowers my travel stress, knowing my cats are in good hands. Kaylee was a wonderful catsitter. She was extraordinarily detailed with good photos and videos that greatly eased my anxiety about leaving my cats home alone for the first time. She was even able to easily befriend my anxiety cat, and both my kitties seem to have had a good time. 12/10 would recommend, and I personally will be seeking her services again

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Gambrills cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
