I’m a responsible and down to earth cat sitter who genuinely loves giving pet parents peace of mind while they’re away from their purrfect babies. I have over 8 years of pet experience taking care of family/friends/coworkers’ fur babies. I grew up as a dog lover, then about 5 years ago I officially converted to the cat lady religion and haven’t looked back. I absolutely love making new cat friends and getting to know their different personalities and boundaries. I currently have one cat, but I’m happily training for my dream of having a cat herd one day. I got my beautiful boy when he was about 4 months, and now he’s a healthy, happy 4 year old void with a personality that determines what name he goes by each day. I offer complimentary plant watering, bringing in mail/packages, cleaning up kitty mishaps, and sending plenty of photo updates. Just let me know of any special instructions, and I’ve got it covered :)
I currently take virtual classes on Wednesday evenings and cat sit full time, my schedule is otherwise pretty flexible. I’m happy to meet your cats where they’re at, whether they’re cuddly, shy, or just want to be complimented and admired from a distance. I pay close attention to their body language and cues so I can learn their boundaries and anticipate their needs. I’m also comfortable administering medications and have successfully given cats pills as well as topical eye and ear ointments. I’m always open to your advice and willing to learn any tricks that make medication time more comfortable for your kitty! Whatever their vibe, I love being able to use my opposable thumbs for the greater good of cats. If time permits, I love doing meet and greets before a booking so I can get to know your kitties and their space while their favorite person is still nearby. I’m happy to wear a mask or meet virtually as well!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Trust your gut. This is essentially hand picking a friend for your fur baby whether it be the first or fifth time using a sitter. Not everyone can purr on the same frequency and that's okay!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I use the skills I learned as a goalie to open the door carefully when entering and lock the door as soon as I'm inside. I make sure nothing was accidentally opened or left out that could cause issue for the cat. I always double check no one is trying to sneak out with me as I leave, then lock up.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Ooh I loove a laser pointer and crinkle ball combo! I like seeing their inner apex predator side come out. But there are many good options!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
SPAAAAACE! Gentle movements, treats, and energy adjustment on my part. I can 1000% empathize with cats acclimating to new humans in their space. As a shy cat owner myself, I usually check if food has been eaten, litter used, or if they have a not so invisible hiding place (without disturbing them). I don't like seeing scared kitties so they truly set the pace for the visits.

We were so fortunate to find Anabel on Meowtel. During her initial visit she was so kind to our family, giving special attention to our son and of course the cats. She completed all the tasks we requested, including watering our plants and bringing in our mail. One of our cats hides from other people, but that didn’t stop Anabel from cajoling her to poke her head out from up inside the box spring of our bed to entice her to take her pill pocket and receive her transdermal medication on her ear. And this was made more difficult because she had to distract the energetic other cat (a kitten) so that he didn’t eat the pill pocket. She sent us photos and updates which my son especially enjoyed. We will definitely request Anabel when we are away in the future!

Anabel is an amazing sitter! She always showed up promptly, took plenty of photos and sent detailed updates. I was confident the whole time I was away that my kitties were in the best of care. Anabel even took my trashcan up the steep driveway and to the curb without me asking! Did she also water my plants?? 😂 I don't know but they're damp and happy and healthy as well. Anabel is a Rockstar! 🤘

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Gwynn Oak cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
