My love and admiration for our feline friends expands beyond the walls of my own home and has permeated my work and volunteer life. At home I am a servant to 6 wonderful fur-babies who have assisted me in fostering over 500 bottle babies, kittens and adult cats. I have been a foster cat-mom for 9+ years, working with Animal House of South East Michigan, a local cat rescue in Royal Oak. I currently work at an Emergency Animal Hospital with a background that started in general veterinary practice... Fellow Feline Fanatic here! My name is Erin.

I am well versed in giving medications as well as recognizing concerning health issues in cats. I can comfortably and confidently administer pills, liquid medications, and topical medications. The purrfect part of at-home cat sitting is that is alleviates the stress that so many of our felines feel when they are taken away from the comfort of their own home. Although you will be sorely missed while you are away, I will ensure that your cats are loved, fed and well cared for as though they are my own regardless of temperament or demeanor.
I am happy to travel within Oakland County and some of the surrounding counties. I have flexible availability for the needs of you and your fur baby.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have experience working in both general and emergency veterinary. I also have been a dedicated cat foster mom for over 9 years, having fostered over 500 cats.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Cat sitting allows me to combine my love for animals with providing reliable, compassionate care. I treat every cat like my own and strive to make them feel safe, loved, and stress-free in their home.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I’m a proud cat mom to six—Beau, Belle, Gaston, Ney-Ney, Mouse & Coraline—each bringing their own mix of sweetness, sass, and charm to our home.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I’m available for most holidays and understand how important it is to have reliable care during those times. Happy to accommodate!
What is your favorite cat toy?
I don't know if I can say it's my favorite or if it's my favorite because I have yet to meet a cat who does not love the toy that we all in my rescue, lovingly refer to as "the worm".
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I always allow the cats to lead the interactions. Patience and understanding is key when meeting a new nervous friend.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Madison Heights cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
